Biometric enrolment after certificate of sponsorship expiry

Post by mac_ajwang » Mon Nov 07, 2011 3:57 pm

I applied for extension of Tier 2 (General) work permit on 23rd September. My visa was due to expire on 30th of September. I included three dependants in my application.

I received a letter inviting me for Biometric enrolment on 14th of October and managed to get an appointment for biometric enrolment on 26th October, which I did.

My concern is that my CoS was meant to expire on 20th of October i.e. 6 days before I enrolled my biometric. I am also concerned that my dependants did not receive an invitation to enrol their biometric.

Given that I submitted my application before my leave expired and also before my CoS expired, should I be concerned that my application can be refused on the ground of invalid CoS?

Response with regard to this will be highly appreciated.

No, because the CoS was valid on the "date of application".
