Biometrics locations in Chicago

After sending the online application. Do I need to request an appointment for my husband's biometrics?
My plan is to go Wednesday, June 1st, to get my Italian passport, since I have an appointment, with my passport number in hand filling out the VAF5 application, and since we would already be in Chicago, doing the biometrics on the same day.

Is that possible? Does anyone know the locations where the biometrics could be done at?
