A Bit Of Benefits Advice For ILR Set (M) Please

Post by gazza1990 » Thu Nov 04, 2010 10:58 pm

- Me and the wife are filling out the form for her appointment at the moment.

- I am a British Citizen by birth.

- The form asks: "The public funds which are relevant for the purposes of the Immigration Rules are listed below. If you have answered yes to question 7.6, you must tick the relevant box(es) to show which of these are being received."

- It specifically says "being received", in the present tense.

- Would this means that I simply put what I receive now?:
*Child Benefit
*Child Tax Credit
*Working Tax Credit

.....Or would we also need to include things that have been claimed within the last two years at any point? This would mean the addition of:
*Council Tax Benefit
*Housing Benefit
*Sure Start Maternity Grant

- Note: Each of all the above benefits has either been claimed in my sole name (where applicable), or, in the case of those that are in joint names, with my name as the main applicant and my wife under 'partner'.

- I am aware (to the best of my knowledge) that none of the above should have a detrimental affect on the outcome, particularly as my work situation is currently a lot better than last year. It is just that I would like to list as few as possible if only to make the application as good as in the eyes of the case worker as it can (whilst not wrongly withholding necessary information, hence the starting of this thread).

Thanks for any thoughts and good luck to all those applying soon.

Ok. I just a few minutes of searching the forum I have found plenty of information to state that we just include what is presently being claimed.

Thanks for the views though.
