Brazillian Applying for a Spanish Student Visa in the UK

Hello

Is it possible for a Brazillian, here in the UK on a student visa (expires January 2009) to apply at the Spanish Consulate / Embassy for a Spanish student visa while here in the UK on a student visa? Or does he have to return to Brazil to make the application?

I'd imagine it would be possible from any country where he is resident, ie not a visitor. So I think he can apply within the UK.
