I have been in UK for over 16 years now initially of a five year student entry clearance and after two years found myself doing all sort of jobs on a student work permit issued by the then jobcentre. I was then offered a permanent job developed quickly, management team noticed of my potential and got promoted to senior key positions until now, fired due to lack of RTW and othersâ€¦.!!! On the personal conduct and activities; I was fined for driving a vehicle without insurance & mot and a fixed penalty for driving on a bus lane back in 2000, also had a CCJ against me in 2002. Additionally, I met my fiancÃ©e who is Polish, engaged, and now have a lovely daughter aged of one year. Given these scenarios, what can you advice is the best way forward. My fiancÃ©e and I have agreed to apply for ILR under the 14 year rule but I feel there some uncertainties given the circumstances at hand. I am as well quiet worried of the finances as I will no longer be able to work pending the application outcome. I would really be glad if you can advice the best way forward

I think ur best option is to marry and apply as the family member of an EEA citizen exercising a treaty right.

He has to be working or studying here, application is free and no need to return to ur home country.

Search here and Google EEA Family Permit, read in inwardly digest and come back to us.

I have had so many bad experiences in life from the age of 4/5 when I can clearly remember everything, since then have experienced every sort of degrading, inhumane situations and when I finally thought of having achieved something in the life after 4/5, I made the biggest mistake I could have ever imagined under duress and a moment of mad thinking. I can no longer continue to feel sorry for being a human being in this world... I thought this forum would give shed a light in the right direction but yet non forthcoming. How can I ever forgive or explain it my little girl!...

I did yes, but there are sticking points alike, we are not yet married and that requires applying for too and now I realise what deep trouble I am in for mispresentation of vital docs

Wanderer did you not mean - 'UK Residence Card'? The OP will not need a EEA Family Permit from within the UK.

Have you considered applying as an unmarried partner under EU route?

Marrying would put you in stronger position that is of course if you were thinking of getting married anyway. For you to get married in the UK might prove quite difficult. Perhaps you want to do it in Poland or in the country you are from.

ILR under 14 years rule is very lengthy. It can easily take 2 years +.
