Bringing an elderly mother to the UK

Post by GoldenS » Tue Dec 17, 2024 2:42 pm

My mother had fled Syria after the regime collapsed due to sharing similar last name as the fallen president (no connection to him whatsoever) because unfortunately everyone sharing that last name is being viciously targeted regardless of if they ever had anything to do with the regime or not
Now my mother, a 75 years old retired doctor is in Lebanon after illegally crossing the border with no identification papers (it was dangerous to carry identification papers)
Is there anything i can do to help her being her only son and a British citizen? What route should i take and would a solicitor help and if so which type
Any info is greatly appreciated
