bringing wife, but on the old work permit scheme

hi,
i'm in a bit of a situation as i'd like to bring my wife over to the uk, but i can't seem to find information on how to do that. the only info on the web is for those on the new point-based system. i am on the old work permit scheme that does not exist. i would assume that i'd still be able to bring my wife under the scheme i am under.
can anyone help with some info/clarifications?
