British citizen married to an Indian, living overseas

Hello, I'm new to this board, so would be really grateful for any help anyone can give me.

I've lived outside of the UK since 2009 (I worked for the British Council in Spain, Cairo, the UAE, Oman and am now a Consultant for them in Kathmandu, Nepal). I married Ryan, an Indian National over 4 years ago at the British Embassy in Oman. He's a musician. I have a 12 year old son who lives with us and who Ryan officially became an official step-parent of in 2007 through the Courts in London.

If we wanted to move back to England, would it be a difficult process. Ryan has a 5 year visitor visa as we often travel back to see family, but living in Kathmandu isn't the best of places and as I'm his manager I would like to promote his work in the UK (where many of his fans are based).

Any help would be really great!

Should not be a problem if you settle back with him in Uk and that you meet essential requirements of spouse visa

Thanks! He's never done anything wrong, never outstayed any visa he's had. We were legally married (although that did pose some difficulties for the French Embassy here when trying to get a Schengen visa to go to Spain to visit my Dad earlier this year - they wanted more proof than our marriage certificate that we were still married and not divorced!!)

Isn't there a test he has to take? What about IELTS? He only ever speaks English as does his family. I was under the impression that there are an awful lot of procedures to go through.

We wouldn't consider it if, he had to wait here for months while I went back to the UK. Don't see the point in that!!
