British citizens - staying out side of the UK

Dear Group,

Both my wife and kid have recently taken British citizenship and OCI. They are now in India on vacation (for the last two months).

Due to medical reasons they need to be there for another two months, which is in total of 4 months by the time they return to the UK.

My query is; would there be any problem in the future if they stay outside of the UK beyond three months?

if they have British passports there are no restrictions on the time they can be outside the UK.
