British Citizenship and court case

Post by jatala005 » Wed Mar 13, 2019 5:40 pm

Dear members,

I am applying for British Citizenship soon but I have a question, someone sent me form through sheriff court that I owe them some money which is less than £2000 although I have enough proofs that the person who is claiming the money is not right. this claim called (simple procedure) in Scotland.

my question is if I lose this case and sheriff officer orders to pay the money, will this effect my citizenship application? is it a conviction which will remain with my conviction record?

thanks and kind regards ,
