British citizenship

Hi everyone,
Would love to know if I could apply for British Citizenships.
I arrived in 2006 on holiday visa, but due to difficult situation and family miss understandings we had to stay back. Our visa was only for 6 months and we applied to stay in the uk in 2007 (which, we had overstayed for 6 months) .
We got our ILR In 2014 January. Can we apply for the British Citizenships now since we have completed the 5 years. Will our 6 months affect the application.
Please if any one can check on this please for me.

What date did you get leave to remain and on what basis in 2007??

Hi , we got our ILR in 2014, on Application humanitarian protection on jan 2007
