So confused about this!

My husband's first referee is a 29 year old, personal friend, who is a British citizen.

For the second referee, I am completely stuck! Having gone through the accepted 'list', I think we can meet this one - Director/Manager/Personnel Officer of a VAT registered Company. We have a friend who is the OWNER of his own business which is VAT registered. Will this be ok?! I know they say Director, Manager, Personnel Officer of a VAT registered company but as the owner, surely he meets all of these?

Could someone PLEASE clarify that these two referees will be ok?! This has been a nightmare!

One of my referee was my British friend, other was British CEO of the company I work in. So owner is fine, I'd just ask him to write CEO (as presumably that is what he is).

I am applying for BC for my daughter 2,2 years old and she born in UK
For 2 references, 1st reference is Pharmacists and she is a British citizenship and 2nd reference is from my friend and he is 44 years old and he is holding the British citizenship.
I would like to know whether they will consider Pharmacists as a professional reference?

I've read here a few times members using Pharmacist as referee, and also that Home Office is usually very lenient/relaxed about rules with it comes to UK born daughter below 5 years old. So personally I'd use the references you mentioned and go with application. Good luck.

If they meet the other required criteria (e.g. Age, not being related to each other etc...), then they should be; note only one of them needs to be a professional. The comment made by JamesBrodie in the thread below makes sense to me, when trying to establish whether the professional referee you've chosen would be considered acceptable.

Both being pharmacists should not be an issue. One referee should be a professional of any nationality. The second should be a British citizen & either over 25 or a professional. So your referees should be fine.

Yes, it would be acceptable, being that he is the director of a limited company.

Is doctor an accepted referee ? Sorry I was mistaken in my previous post my one referee is a doctor and one is pharmacist ? so it it okay with both professions ?

It says teacher is an accepted profession. does teaching assistant comes under it and is acceptable???

Sorry if this is off topic, but is driving Instructor still allowed to be a referee for Form AN citizenship but no longer allowed to be a countersignatory for British Passport?

I'm confused about the requirement for a professional referee as I read earlier in the thread that the person is supposed to have known you other than in an professional capacity. I was going to use our company solicitor at work, but she only knows me in a professional capacity. So in the field asking how she knows the applicant she will write "colleague". Will this be ok?

because One reference I am giving one company director, other one person living the same address he is British and 54 year old

I want to know whether I can use my friend who has done his masters in UK and he is working in reputed firm as a professional in his field. Can I use his reference as professional reference of any country. In the list provided by the home office there is Engineer (with professional qualifications).

Does he come under this category. And I got another option who is the Assistant Manger. I do not work under him but I know him for 4 years .

AS my manager is working for 2 1/2 years I cannot take his reference.

For the second referee I am taking one of my colleague who is British and over 25 years of age.

Any help or suggestions will be very helpful to me.

In regards to the referees section of the AN Application; I have read Chapter 6 - List of Acceptable Professional Persons; however I have a doubt.
It mentions Councillors (local or county); Civil Servant (permanent), local government officer and Member of Parliament (amongst others).
What this list doesn't clarify is whether members of Devolved Administrations are acceptable referees. i.e. Members of Scottish Parliament; Welsh Assembly or Northern Ireland Assembly.

Would these people fall under the Member of Parliament category and therefore be acceptable referees?

Also the referees cannot be related to you or to eachother; but doesn't specify if a flatmate who's a professional person can act as a referee? (the flatmate is not related to me but lives at my address).

Can anyone give me some guidance please?

other one is accountant and has got ILR,
