I am an EEA national (Bulgaria) and starting to fill out the form. I have two practical (and maybe somewhat stupid) questions.

1. What document should I use for the 'current passport/travel document number' (1.2 of the form)?
I am travelling back to Bulgaria later this year and I plan to replace my passport then which obviously will be in the middle of the application. Should I use my ID card instead?

2. Do I have to put anything in the 'Reference numbers used in your immigration applications' (1.1 of the form)?
Before I got my EEA PR card, I have previously applied for a yellow and blue card. Should I include the Case IDs for those applications or put N/A here?

I've completed the 2017 version of the application, but 2018 version has since appeared. :?

1. Would it make sense to fill the 2018 version, and attach the reference pages from the 2017 version? Are there are any rules regarding this? The only difference in the reference pages is the footer on the page saying:

Form AN Application form (version 02/17)
Instead of

Form AN Application form (version 02/18)

In addition I've read in this forum that you can use the old form for up to 28 days from the date of the new one.

Is this true/could someone please link where it says this? Thanks in advance!

It should be the referee pages, not reference pages.

I might be too late with my answer, but just in case someone else has the same problem - I called Nationality Enquiries a couple of days ago and they said that they still accept the 2017 version of the AN form.

Whiplashette, you have been asking question for at least the last 3 months.
Why are you concentrating on trivial stuff. This forum hardly answers and questions because its not used by many users. You get less information here than you get by calling the HO number. They too give contradictory information. They basically tell you that it depends on the case worker. I told them I dint have any correspondence to cover 2 years because I was on JSA and I was told send your bank statements and the case worker MAY accept it as proof of residence. It says in the booklet that bank statements, utility bills council tax bills are not accepted. So you dont struggle asking here because all users here know nothing about the procedures. The moderators do answer but again they cannot be specific.

After only contributing 13 posts on the forum, you may be interested to find that your assumption above is misguided:

Perhaps you may like to access another means of advice by paying a legal advisor.

I was incorrect in saying the forum does not answer. It is this thread that is not very informative. I was reading through and it seems that the process of application viz AN is complicated. But it is NOT. If one knowns basic English, one can fill the form. I am EU and I had to produce only P60 for the years 2013 to 2018. NOTHING MORE. Passport and DCPR are the only other documents required. I spent weeks gathering all sorts of documents like Doctors letters (cost me 15£) benefits letters etc. and to be told "this is not how it works, all I need is evidence of residence in the UK

Just a quick question,

i am holding an ILR since Nov 2017, and received the ILR on 10 year long residence period while i am married to British citizen can i apply for neutralisation because as it states if you are married to British citizen and been in UK for more then 3 years you can apply for it straight away.

Yes you can apply as soon as you got ILR, provided you meet all the requirements, including absence limit and being physically present in the UK exactly 3 years ago on the date you apply.

Hi guys,

I first came to UK in 2004 for 3 years as a student and then left.

I came back in 2008 as a student and finished course in 2010 after which I got PSW visa followed by Tier-2.

My question is regarding putting immigration history details. Shall I start from 2008 or 2004?

Also, in the online form they ask per application Name, Date of Application (if Known), Reference Number (if known), Biometrics (Yes/No) and When were the Biometrics taken.

I dont remember for 2008 and 2010 applications when I made the application and what was my application reference. I know the visas and the permit numbers. What shall I do?

If I leave the Date of Application, Reference blank then there isnt much detail to tell them about that specific application.

Please can you help?

Thanks

The form AN has only 7 sections under which relevant details are being asked; however under the supporting documents list for form AN (page 29 - 31) it mentions 10 different sections. Why is it so; an error on their part? as it confuses things unnecessarily.

Hi!

I'm filling AN form online and am a little bit confused about:

1. Who should write the name of the applicant on the back of the photograph? - The applicant himself or his referee?

2. What shoul be written on the back of the photograph? - Applicants name and date of birth, or only name...or?

3. How to stick the photograph?-With glue...at the corners?

Many thanks.

Thank you so much for the fast and accurate response!
There is one more thing that confuses me at the moment: "Do you have any dependants not applying with you at this time?"
I choose YES, because I'm married(my wife is not working) and have a daughter 11 years old.
Am I right?

Thanks

hi all,

firstly apologies if this is a long post i am needing help in filling the form on some questions...although i know some are silly but i want to make sure that i get it right because the fee is really hefty and there should be less room for mistake on my part...and to anyone and everyone who will reply thank you so much in advance.

here it goes:
application form version 09/2018

1.1 - reference numbers used in your immigration - would this be the reference# from my previous eea applications, PR application?

1.3 - i am a non-eea holding PR should i write down the BRP issue date here? or the one thats on the letter that says date acquired?

1.5 other names: i did not include my middle name (this is my maiden name) is this ok?

1.24 details of parents: should i write it like this: surname, first name/other names

1.32 full name of partner: again do i write is as: surname, first name/other names

1.35 partner's nationality: he is British/Irish do i write both?

2.4 if you are an EEA or Swiss national or the family member of an EEA or Swiss national please complete the following section - should i write yes (based on his Irish nationality) which we used to acquire PR
or do i leave it blank?
- should i fill in the PR card number and date of issue?

5 Referees and identity Name of Applicant: again do i write surname, first name/othernames and do i do the same with the photo

6 Biometric enrolment
6.11 Do you want the HO to retain your BRP? - I plan to tick NO and enclose a letter asking for permission to keep the BRP for future use of my child who is born in the UK in the event that he needs to prove his claim to british citizenship - do you think this is ok?

6.13 - is this the one that i had done for the application of PR biometrics?

7.8 - I will be sending my husband's original passport, do i just strike this and write beside it Original Passport sent

7.10 - do i strike this out? as i believe i have met all the statutory requirements.

...do i leave all other parts that were not applicable to me as blank or should i write n/a?

thank you all so much for your inputs.
