Starts June 2014, when you received ILR and were free from immigration restrictions.Tmuch wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 10:19 pmHello guys
Sorry to bother you all, am just worried as I came in the uk in Nov 2013, and the family reunion visa we were on expired but could still work and study while waiting for the new visa. We then got ILTR in June 2014.
My question is when do my 5 years start. Is it November that I got here or June when we got Indefinite.
Thank you so much.

I am filling in the form for my wife's Naturalization application as spouse of British Citizen. I have a few questions if anyone can help.I believe we do not need any photographs signed for this as the bio-metrics will be done at one of the new center. You need photos for the referee page.
- I got my British citizenship in June 2016 and she has received her ILR on the 4/4/2019. Can I apply now straightaway for her naturalization or do we need to wait for 12 months. She can apply now if she meets the 3 years residence requirement etc.
I have filled in the form online (Form AN) and would be using the new service for the application. But it has not asked for my information in the form. Its a bit confusing as the category is for spouse of British citizen and its not asking for any of my information ? is it me being paranoid or is this the correct form. You are being paranoid. It surely does however ask if married and spouses name etc.
I have used the following links to get to the form
https://www.gov.uk/apply-citizenship-sp ... w-to-apply
https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... onality-an
Lastly the referee information where are the referee supposed to sign.
Regards
Thanks CR001 This is very helpfulCR001 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 11:37 amItengineer2004 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 11:12 amHi

1. The answer is NO as you are not an EU citizen for this application purpose and presumably your spouse followed the UK immigration path to ILR.Itengineer2004 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 11:57 amThanks CR001 This is very helpfulCR001 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 11:37 amItengineer2004 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 11:12 amHi

one more clarification , is the answer for the following question yes (since I am a British citizen and she has ILR )
Are you either:
An EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence document
A family member of an EEA national who has been issued with a permanent residence card
And for the citizenship certificate reference number should i just enter my passport number as i am not sure i have the certificate reference number (i do have the letter that had home office reference number)
Regards
Why do you need to send 100 pages - AN is a simple application and you only need to provide the documents which are required. If I recall correctly my documents came to about 12 pages. Online is now the option with biometrics done at UKVCAS.Anuszka wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 8:41 pmHi lovely people,
Thank you so much for such an informative forum.
I have read introduction on this forum and I hope I am writing in the right place.
1. I am applying for British citizenship through naturalisation (AN). I would like to do it by filling in new online application form....BUT I would rather post all of documents (as I have almost 100 pages). I have got Passport and ID so it easier for me this way, without another appointment in Service Centre. I have phoned Home Office helpline today and I have been told that in the end of application the system will tell me what to do with documents. Home Office servant could not tell me if there are always two options (visit in the Citizenship Application Services centre
or post office). Could you please tell me what was your recent experience in this matter?
2. And the second question. If I am able to send documents by post, do I need only printed photo or digital as well?
Thank you so much for your help.
Best wishes,
Anna
Thank you for the link but I have read the guidance already and I did not find answers on the questions which I asked in my first post.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 9:04 pmWhy do you need to send 100 pages - AN is a simple application and you only need to provide the documents which are required. There is no requirement to send payslips. You can simply send all your P60s for the last 5 years. Citizenship is based on the last 5 years only. For employment, you simply need to list them in the form.Anuszka wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 11:29 amThank you for the link but I have read the guidance already and I did not find answers on the questions which I asked in my first post.alterhase58 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 9:04 pmWhy do you need to send 100 pages - AN is a simple application and you only need to provide the documents which are required. And yes, unfortunately I need to scan my weekly payslips from ages ago when I got my WRS card...
I just would like to know if there is option in the end of online application that I can choose from: sending documents by post or I need to do everything online...

2. You need to put the certificate number if the form asks for it. It is on your naturalisation certificate.
Yes - 4 and 7 are the same document.kajis wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 11:36 pmthis is what i reieved a check list

You should use your supporting documents checklist as a guide to what documents you need to self-upload or
take to your appointment.
You have agreed to include the following documents in your application. Tick the box beside each document to
confirm that you are providing it.
1. The passport issued by your country for Mr xyz
2. Mr xyz's Life in the UK Test pass notification
3. Proof of living in the UK for Mr xyz
4. Mr xyz's proof of freedom from immigration time restrictions
5. Two referee declarations for Mr xyz
6. Mr xyz's evidence of identity
7. Current Biometric Residence Permit for Mr xyz ''
is item no. 4 & 7 are same?
thanks
Thank you. When I applied for PR card I had to supply my WRS card plus P60s to prove I was working for one year after I received this card... Weirdly I did not have one P60 and I had to send all of my weekly payslips instead... Luckily I had all of 52! That is the reason I am worry that I had to scan those payslips...
1. If you are applying on the basis of marriage to a British citizen, which presumably you are as you only recently got ILR, then your application is based on 3 years residence. Simply state your addresses since coming to the UK. Don't overthink things. The same form is used for all naturalisation routes.Sdhawan wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2019 10:27 amQuestion: You mentioned I only need UK address, but I have not been in UK for 5 years yet (2 months short) and it does ask, if you have stayed at the property for 5 years. I understand only 3 years residence is considered, but these 5 years should only be a UK address or I can put India address too? This ques is very contradictory in the form, asking about 5 years.1. Your application is based on the 3 years residence immediately preceding the date of application. You only need your UK addresses.
Question: What kind of information they could ask and what documents would be required, to ensure I keep them all ready. Would it be related to travel history - like boarding passed or anything like that? It's a business trip, so a letter from HR would be required.2. No. Absence AFTER date of application is irrelevant. Note that HO can write to you for information or to send documents. Be mindful of this.
Tick NO to degree and English test!! The question is ONLY related to meeting the English requirement and not ho simply wanting to know if you hold a degree.hereorthere wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2019 3:38 pmHi,
I am filling out the online form AN for naturalisation and am very confused about the questions around English language requirements.
I am Canadian and therefore exempt from proving my English language skills. However the form still asks me whether I have a degree taught in English and how I am going to prove my degree (degree certificate or transcript). Since I do have a degree taught in English, I need to answer yes here, even though the form should not ask me this question (as I am exempt from proving my English skills).
Furthermore, when I get to the documents list, I am requested to produce :
-"The official transcript or letter for X to prove the level of English language required"
-"NARIC letter that confirms the qualification meets or exceeds the recognised standard of a Bachelor's or Masters degree or PhD in the UK AND confirm the level of English to which the degree was taught or researched"
AND
-"The Canada passport, identity card or official letter for X to prove the level of English language required"
Lastly, at the bottom of the list, it reads "You do not need to provide further evidence of your level of English because you are a national of Canada".
So in the end do I need to provide the transcript and NARIC letter or not?? This is super unclear.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
You are not lying. You simply ignore the English related questions if you are exempt and answer no.hereorthere wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2019 9:48 amOk thank you for the advice. However you would think that they would make it possible not to have to lie on the form!!
