Not sure why you can't simply put 'Manager' or 'Senior financial controller'. It really makes no difference. HO isn't going to check they are certified or qualified to do the job they do.

Dear forum members
My query is about 90 days residency requirement.
I have been granted ILR on 16th jan 2019. I went abroad from 7th july 2019 and returned back 19th sep 2019. Total number of days outside UK : 75

I visited abroad again on 29th nov 2019 and returned back 18th December 2019. Total number of days 20. 2nd trip was on urgent basis as my father was in hospital .

total number of days absence : 95
I know that absent must not be more than 90 days in last 12 months. I am planning to apply for citizenship by 1st March 2020

Can I apply for citizenship under disregard absent?

Hope to get a reply soon

Good evening. I'm an EU national applying for Naturalisation based on Settled Status plus 1 year. My query is about the 'Previous immigration applications' question on the online form.

I come from an A2 country and before 2014 there were some work restrictions imposed on us - in short, if we wanted to work we were required to apply for a work permit (yellow/blue card). However, they were not a requirement to be in the country.

I had a yellow card based on being a student. Should I include this in the 'Previous immigration applications' section? Given it wasn't really an immigration status.

Many thanks!

Hi everyone.

I'm in the process of filling in the AN form and I'm stuck. I was hoping someone might be able to help?

From 2014-2018 I worked within the same company, but I was promoted 3 times. I remember the day I started and the day I left and I have the P45 for it.

My question is: do I enter this as '1 job' on the form or do I need to separate it by job titles and time periods?
If I have to separate it, the problem is that I can't remember the exact dates. What can I do in this case?

I've just requested a SAR, but I'm not even sure what kind of information that form will give me? Will it just tell me the years I was employed?

Any advice would be appreciated!

It is COMPANY you worked for. Not each JOB you had at the same place.

Absence of up to 100 days is usually disregarded. This has been answered many times on the forum and is stated in the guidance notes.

Many thanks CR001.
I got ILR on 10 years route. Does my citizenship application falls under 6(1) or 6(2)? Guidance notes stated "
Total number of absence normally disregarded 100 days. Does it apply to all application or just 6(1) and 6(2)?

But in the guidance form it says 6(1) and 6(2) only. Please see the attached screenshot from guidance notes.

What's your point?? There are only TWO categories for citizenship, 5byear route and 3 year route. There is no "10 year route". How you got ilr is irrelevant to this.

the advice remains the same. You are perhaps overthinking this completely.

Hi CR001, thank you for your reply.

I had a look again and you're right, it does ask for the company name, but also for the job title. If I held different job titles throughout the years, which one would I put in? Would it be the last one I had before I quit the job? Would that not be wrong since I didn't technically hold that title the whole time? Hence my confusion..

Thank you.

Many members ask about this - what and how much should be declared. Every application needs to be shown, a "work permit" is to do with immigration, so YES, include.
Thank you!
Could I also please ask - they require me to provide at the service centre evidence for 5 years of continuous residence in the UK.

I'm planning to send them five P60s plus my last 11 payslips for the current tax year. Would this be sufficient? Or should I also include something else?

Many thanks.

Hi All,
Firstly, this forum has been very helpful.

I have just applied for Naturalisation via the online route. I have uploaded my documents, and my document checking apointment is scheduled for the first week of April.
However, I have just discovered that I should have disclosed the 3 points on my license for speeding on a public road, even though this was not a criminal offense as I paid the fine and didn't go to court.

Please what is the best email to reach the HO with a cover letter disclosing details of my 3 points?

Thank you

Hi Everyone,

I wonder if you can help with the below question form the online application form:

Have you made an application to the Home Office to remain in the UK in the last 10 years?

I have been in the UK since 2009 and the only application ever made was in 2019 for settled status. I have added earlier in the form that I was granted settled status. So does my answer to this question have to be yes?
If so, I will need to send a letter to correct as I have answered as no!

Thank you for your help.
Monika
