Thanks for your answer

What documents should I send them as I don't have no letters. Are P60/payslips helpful? I can also ask from work for a letter confirming that I worked for them in the last 5 years but is one letter enough? Especially that I had 5 addresses in the last 5 years (staying with rent). Regarding my other questions are my suppositions correct?
All applications are different but in my case I submitted one letter covering 10 years employment (no P60), NCS was happy, no queries from UKVI.

Hello again ,

I have 2 more questions regarding the AN form
At 7.3 do I have to leave blank if I don't apply for citizenship after my wife?
7.7 if I want to delete as not appropriate do I have to put the asterix in the tick box ? (This may sound silly)

Thank you

Hi Experts,

Apologies as my queries are not new, but I have already looked at most of the related threads but couldn't find exact answers. I am going to apply for Naturalisation on 27th April for me, my wife and my son through NCS. We all have got our ILR in Sept 2014. I need some help regarding below,

1. Residence Requirements
For me> I am filling the table provided in the form for last 5 years of absence from UK, but not planning to provide any proof as HR department in our company is non existent and any small request can take months to get reply. am I taking a risk? salary certificate and or P60 will suffice in this case?

For my wife> same her company may strugle to give any proof regarding her stay in UK except salary certificates and P60 etc

For my son> do I need to fill details for my son?

As I go through the form I guess I will have more queries later.

Thanks in advance

Sam

Hi,
I was wondering if you could help me with my doubts ....
I'm trying to fill AN form for my husband.
We are both from Poland. I have got BC already.
That's my questions:
1.32 Full name of partner (I know this one) but I'm not
sure about any name apart those mentioned above? ( should
I add my maiden name here?
And also :
Does he need to attached with AN form all P60s and
payslips from the date he received PR or can he attached
P60's and a letter from recent employer instead ?
My husband recives his payslips by e-mail and I don't
Know if HO would accept them?He has received his PR only
a few months ago but I believe he doesn't need to wait a year to apply for BC as a husband of BC?
Any suggests? Thanks.

P60's and a letter from recent employer instead ? PR and AN applications are separate, you will have to submit evidence for the periods required going back from your date of AN application. Do not assume UKVI will go back looking for your PR application documents. P60s and/or employers letters are acceptable, generally five years documents seem to be ok, but if you have more attach as well.

Any suggests? Thanks.

Just found out that start date of residency requirement (ie 5 years before application date) applicant need to be in the country, in our case we were out side the country hence we had to postpone the application by 10-15 days. Is above information correct?

Hi,
It would be much appreciated to get some advice on filling out my AN form..
I have EEA nationality and am applying for UK citizenship. I was born in Australia and my native language is english. Do I have to do the English language exam, or is it possible to tick the box that says ' I am a national of a Majority English speaking country ' even though I am applying as an EEA national ?

Thanks for you time and attention ! :)

You don't have ILR which is a status under the UK immigration rules not the EEA/EU one. Leave 1.3 blank and complete the section relevant to EU citizens.

Hi All, will very much appreciate help on the following:

I am a non-EU national applying on the basis of 5yr residency. I am in part-time employment for which I have the required P60's and salary slips. However, I am also a director of a private limited company and hence have ticked 'self-employed'. I had setup this company in 2014, but it was dormant until Jan 2016. The company has only been trading for slightly more than a year, but I have not taken any salary or dividends during this period. As such, there was no reason to file my self-assessment with HMRC. The company also did not make any profits for the financial year ending Apr 2016.

As the form specifically asks for self-assessment for self employed, what should I submit? If they check with Companies House, they'll see my name as the Director.

thanks in advance!

Hi all, I would really appreciate some advice as this has been quite stressful.

I'm a EU national, I've moved here when I was 12 in 2007 and:
* Up until June 2011: I attended secondary school
* Sept 2011 - June 2013: I attended 6th form
* Sept 2013 - Sept 2016: Undergraduate studies
* June 2016 - Jan 2017: Worked at Uni
* Jan 2017 onwards: PhD studies (all of the above have been in UK).

I didn't have health insurance so I applied for PR with my parents as their dependent, have received DCPR with a letter saying PR was obtained in April 2016.

One general question I have with regards to the application is whether whenever the AN form asks for 5 years, do I need to provide 6 years instead (5 years + 1 year with PR).

1.5 & 1.6 My surname has a letter which is not in the English alphabet and I have been using L instead - do I need to do anything?

1.17 Home addresses - should I just provide my family address or term time addresses for the past few years or both?

1.46-1.49 Non of these apply to me as I am a student, do I just leave them blank?

"You must have been physically present in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands on the day 5 years before the application is received by the Home Office." Is a letter from school saying I attended the school during that time enough?

And for the "Evidence of lawful residence during the 5 years before the date of the application" part:
* Again, is this 5 or 6 years?
* My current passport doesn't cover the last 5 years and there was a gap between when my old passport expired and when I got the new one - what should I do (I was in the UK at the time, but there was a long waiting list for passport renewals)? I have letters from my school/6th form/uni that I attended, but they are non overlapping due to summer holidays when changing from Secondary School to 6th Form and from 6th Form to Uni.
* Do I need to provide all the evidence again like for the PR application, or are the letters from schools and payslips from my internships (during Uni) and Uni work enough?
* Since I applied for PR with my parents, do I need to prove again that I was their dependent and submit their documents as well?

Sorry for asking so many questions, I have phoned the Home Office few times, they are helpful, however they don't like answering multiple questions.

My husband's appointment with NCS was due next week. However he lost his job this week.
As far as I know employment is not a requirement for citizenship, at least I hope :? . Should I say on question 1.45 that he is looking for work? And questions 1.46, 1.47, 1.48, 1.49 Should I leave it blank? Should I include evidence that he is looking for work within his application?
TIA

Many thanks for this very useful thread. I am an EEA PR holder and planning to submit Form AN.

My proof of being in the UK 5 years prior to the day the application is received by HO would be a bank statement showing debit card transactions on that day and previous/following ones (Sainsbury's, restaurants, etc)
- is this OK?
- Is it required to provide this evidence in the application?

thanks in advance

This is not necessary - your documents covering employment (P60 or employer letter) are sufficient, as long as they cover that date 5 year ago from the application date.

do you think if I state he is unemployed it could have any negative impact on his naturalization outcome?
As he could be seen as a burden to the public funds.

You wait now for the biometric enrollment letter which you take to the Post Office to do your biometrics. Then you just wait till you get your approval letter and your ceremony invitation letter. Once you attend your ceremony, you can apply for a passport and you get the form from the Post Office too.
