You have to be patient, it is only one month since they acknowledged your application. There are a few impatient people here, now I understand why the UKBA do not answer the phone or reply to emails, some applicants would be phoning them every day chasing up their application. UKBA staff will waste their time answering the phone, causing even more delay.

Everyone's circumstance are different, the UKBA have to be careful whom they grant citizenship, it is not an easy decision to make. In Italy and many other countries, one has to wait years not weeks for citizenship.

You should have been careful, shouldn't have allowed butterflies into your tummy. They get into your tummy and give you headache.

I have three points on my driving license caused by a FPN. I did mention it on the AN form.

Thanks to all the friends on this forum, and wish you have success very soon.

App was received on the 10th of April and fees debited on the 18th of April.

Looks like ppl whose applications were received in the 1st half of April are facing a longer wait then folks who applied after say 15th of April.

Really frustrates me sometimes. My application is also straightforward like many others who applied in early April.

Hopefully we all will receive some good news by 2morrow.
I am also frustrated and plus there is no way to contact them, they do not respond to their emails. I sent email two months ago but no response. :x

Some people get approval directly and sometimes they forget to issue acknowledgement letter. Have you received your approval ?

There are too many people booking ceremony in my area. I have to wait for five weeks 15/07/13 before my ceremony. Same problem when I wanted to send my application through their NCS, I had to travel to Wandsworth who booked me within a week and their fee is also cheaper.

We applied on the 8th of April by postal service with SAE envelope. As a spouse of Brit, straightforward case. But still awaiting from UKBA. It's exactly 2 months now and worrying. It appears that recent apps are getting processed quickly than the ones in early April.have not seen many from early April come through. The last two posts are the ones from early April so fingers crossed. The wait is very frustrating.

I wouldn't worry too much...my wife applied for BC on 23 April via NCS Edinburgh (married to BC + 1 year ILR) and we still haven't got the approval letter yet. Judging by the replies in this thread, its simply pot luck when you get the approval...but assuming it's a straightforward case, you WILL get the approval within 6 months. Just have to be patient mate :)
