I applied on the same day as both of you. So I am hoping I get the envelope too.

Called them today and was told application is with a caseworker and 'close to completion' (I'd applied on 2nd April).

I gave them the name, DOB and address and the caseworker was able to pull my details.

Congrats. A good start to the bank holiday.

I called up the council on Thursday to book an appointment, they said they have not received my documents and to call on Friday. When I did, they said they have received the documents but have not updated the system due to the elections, so asked me to call on Thursday or Wednesday next week not Tuesday.....

I wonder what they mean by update the system????

Number that i used to call the Home office was 03001232253 ( think it was Option 1 that i selected). The contact center person asked for my name, DOB and address and he was able to pull my details. The reference number in the home office payment confirmation number will also be helpful
