Can you let us know which pages are corrected so that I can print only those? Don't want to fill the whole form again as I've got everything setup already for my appointment? What if I go with the same un-corrected form? Will they refuse?
oace wrote:Sunil0300, Just to help you with this .. you're absolutely right there is no change in the form version and the last update date is in the past as well.

HOWEVER! lucy is right as well. There IS actually a new form that has the same version as the last one and there is no new update date either. Actually, Home Office have only made some obvious corrections in the form and they don't want people to be confused thinking it's a new form, so it appears with same version and date.

You asked for a proof. I have an old scanned copy of the form and I compared it side by side to the one on the website that you referred in your link. The two forms are DIFFERENT I can confirm.

But, you don't need to worry as the form version has not changed and you can go with the version you have got as it's the same version as on the website, just some corrections have been made.

Just a polite note that lucy2011 should be appreciated on the effort of giving everyone a heads-up and it's easy to quickly criticize but one should do their homework first just to be sure (just like you've asked them to be sure)

I know that the new form offers a choice of where the ceremony will be held.

I'm going to submit with old April form. I'll be extraordinarily angry if they refuse on the basis that they did not proof read their own forms.

There have been corrections in the good character section where a whole question was missing, also Page 6 had some formatting changes as well as option for choice of ceremony. Due to the formatting changes some lines of text have moved to the next page, and which is why I would not recommend the mix and match approach which may have more chance of concern.

It should be absolutely fine if you go with the form you have got, as it's version number is the one they have on the website and you genuinely downloaded it from the website. But if you want to use the corrected form, then I would suggest to use that as a whole rather than picking bits from old and new one.

Hope that helps.

I think I'll go with the completed form I have got, and hopefully it should be okay.

To all those asking questions about fees. Anyone who used NCS or posted the application on the 2nd of April, will be paying New fees. I guess you'll only get lucky if you pay the old fees. For reference, I've paid the New fees.

Though I applied before 6th April, NCS adviced me to put new fee in the payment sheet.

But UKVI confirmed that they might not charge the new fee if they received before 6th April.

Guys whose applications received by HO on 02-APR-2015 (last day before fee increase) .. Can any one confirm how much they deducted?

Thanks,

Old fee of £906 was deducted.

I had to submit the New form but I insisted on Old fees - NCS didn't have any of that. If I had applied by myself, I would have definitely filled in the Old fees.

I think we will have to wait and find out. Personally, I find it surprising that they need the biometrics one year after the ILR.

I know that the new form offers a choice of where the ceremony will be held.

I'm going to submit with old April form. I'll be extraordinarily angry if they refuse on the basis that they did not proof read their own forms.
I think you giving home office opportunity either to delay your application or reject on the basis of using old form, I am sure you must have struggled alot to be able to apply for british Naturalisation, so why not little bit more struggle to refill the new form, I was on the same boat, completed older version of form, they change it at last moment, I refilled the new form it took me about 2 hours to fill, the only problem i had , getting the referees signature again which was bit hassle

Getting new referee page signed is not an option at this late stage.

I used latest form this month. The fact they reissued it in the last week is not my problem. They didn't even bother incrementing the document version.

So the form you are using is still dated sometime 2015 (March 2015, but version 04/15), not last years April 2014 version? I can't see that being a problem.

I don't think they have re-issued it in the last week. I downloaded a copy on 7 April (as HO helpdesk told me the original March 2015 form would be valid at least up to 6 April), and just downloaded a new copy now. They are completely identical - I ran a file compare to verify it (console: fc /b old.pdf new.pdf). So you can trust that the 2 April date mentioned on their webpage is accurate. At the very least, I'm 100% sure nothing has changed since April 7.

I handed my application with NCS on 9th April using the new form but the referee page is from the old form, NCS instruction is as long as the referee page is less than 6 months old (the date when referees signed) they are valid, hope this helps...

I submitted my application today. The NCS lady said using the early April form was fine.

No problems.
