I submitted my application on 22nd June and submitted my biometrics via IDV only route on 28th Aug. I am still waiting.

Received a generic response confirming application has been received and aim to process within 6 months- on 10th Sep 20

Application submitted on (28 of August), biometrics submitted via (IDV only) route on (7 of September). Still waiting for approval.

Applicant is over 70 (they state they would prioritise IDV invitations for people over 70)

Thank you all those who responded. Just for an idea, as of 830am today, around 25 members reported (both in ILR and BC forum) who submitted via IDV app only are waiting. Only 1 member reported waiting via the appointment only. Lets wait and see how the trend evolves.

There are MANY FREE appointments in Landsdowne Croydon 22nd Sep onwards. Anyone in urgent need of a decision may book it.

I booked free appointment tomorrow morning to resubmit. Has anyone done double submission IDV + Appointment ? Will they reject if we mention we have submitted via IDV ?

UKVCAS seems to be confident with their IDV system so they don’t suggest applicant to book appointment unless requested by UKVI. They confirmed by phone that my application has been received and sent to UKVI. Any re-submission will only be duplication and may slow the process.

Although I personally think IDV and appointments are 2 different queue and it does seem IDV queue is quite long hence delay...

Anyone responding please do NOT post in timeline format. This is not intended as timeline style posts. I am just trying to figure out how many are still waiting after 2/3 weeks of purely IDV submission.

This topic is ONLY for those who have applied for British Citizenship. You appear to have applied for FLR(M). Please do not post in this thread as it only creates confusion as citizenship laws and process is completely different and separate to FLR(M).

I applied on the 3rd of June and opted out of the biometrics and went for an appointment in Croydon on the 19th August but I am still waiting... I must be cursed, everyone who went for an appointment seem to have got their decisions

Many have done it successfully. If you wish to choose dual submission, it will not harm your application. It only may benefit you. If you are in urgent need of a decision, you can test your luck via appointment now also.
