All, specially @CULLINAN as he was keen to collect data on IDV only based submissions

• Application submission UKVCAS 14th May

• IDV eligibilty email 1st Aug

• IDV invite 4th Sep

• Submission via IDV 6th Sep

• Approval for naturalisation 21 Sep ~ 10 AM

The email does mention upto 12 week wait for ceremony invite and not to contact them till that time. Now the wait for this (hopefully the last) step

Anymore decisions for anyone who submitted via IDV app only between 17th Aug - 31st Aug? Seems like decisions have slowed down......

Submitted App on the 14th of April and sent Bio using IDV app on the 25th of Aug, got a decision today via email.

Just DM'd UKVCAS on twitter and they said that they're holding us (post-12 sep applicants) off because there are no appointments available anyway - so they're processing the backlog. Is this true? Any appointments still available? They've given some really unreliable responses tbh

Yes appointment availability has almost gone down to zero.

Ceremony invitation can take 12 weeks or more.

Yet to receive a decision

Hello guys,
I have been quietly following this forum and other forums.
And I think I have noticed a trend regarding the order in which NATIONALITY applications are being decided. I have noticed that since the beginning of the last week only those applicants who submitted their applications in May AND used the IDV app have been receiving the decisions on their applications.
Before that I noticed that for the week commencing 07 Sept Almost all of those who received decisions on their nationality application have submitted their application in March & April 2020 AND used the IDV app
Please note, this is my observation only and I might be wrong.
However, if my observation is correct then this means that home office is processing NATIONALITY applications in date order and right now they are processing applications which has been received in the second half of May 2020.
So people who applied for nationality after May should sit back and wait for decision.

I would agree with this observation. Majority applications are processed in date order.

All Naturalization APPROVED today 21-09-2020

Note: Non EU, it was 5Years + 1 Year ILR Set(O)

Naturalization Application included main Applicant + Spouse + 2 Children

Since I have waited 3 weeks for IDV app decision. I have booked a FREE appointment at croydon for Friday. Will keep you posted.

I would agree with this observation. Majority applications are processed in date order.

There are a few outliers tho. I submitted in March, got the confirmation the next day and no response or decision yet.

Same here. I have waited too long for any correspondence of any form. I have booked us all a reduced £69 appointment at Sheffield for next Friday. Will see how it goes

Do you still see any availability on your end for the timeframe you mentioned? I submitted my application after 12 September 2020 so maybe everything is blocked for me still no matter what.

Booking system is not open for applicants who applied after 11th Sep.

Birmingham has got many free appointments starting from 5th October through to middle of November...

Submitted my application on Friday 18/09. On the application form I remember selecting the re-use biometric information when I applied for my ILR in 2018. Anyway today 22/09 I received an email from the UKVI (see below). My question does this mean I will not have to go/book a biometric appointment?

You will be notified by email if you have to book an appointment or use IDV app. You will have to wait for that. For now, the system is not open for anyone who applied after 11th Sep.
