Hi, all I'm a July applicant, I submitted in person biometrics in August. I sent an email last week to (FurtherNationalityEnquiries) asking about an update. Today, I received an email saying your application is awaiting allocation to a caseworker. I was not expecting that. I thought of sharing this with you, so if people are waiting since Jun/Jul there is a possibility that your case hasn't been looked at yet.
I am also a June applicant, I am waiting to write another email on the 3rd of June when my 6 months kicks in. It's really frustrating
I would suggest to send an email and post both. Recorded Post is more of an official way of correspondence. Good luck.

Hi all, I would like to share a good news,
My naturalisation application with spouse and 4 children has approved.

Applied on 8 aug 2020 non European.
Tier 1 entrepreneur ILR + 1 year.
Biometric on 10 September in person at Croydon.
Send a email for update last week.
Approval received today by email.
Ceremony confirmation. Wait.
Children’s certificate will arrive within 4 weeks.

I need information from seniors members, please advise
If I received children certificate before our ceremony date, so can I apply their passport?

Regards
Nadeem

Ohh..I should really bang my heads now.:-)
After seeing your messgae, I just double checked my letter(email attachment). The last line in the letter is saying
'your children's application also has been approved'

this is the only line they mentioned about childrens application.

This is just mentioned as the last line very close to normal bla blas (data protection act etc). This is why I haven't noticed.

I think people are thinking(at least I was), individual applicantions will get their own letter(may be send to lead applicant's email address). This is what they did during ILR time.

Thank you very much for clarification and leding me in right direction.

Today i received the certificate of registration by post for my child. Certificate is Dated the day of the emailed stating both applicants approved.

Just firing off that I'm a mid June application who's still waiting for any sign of life from the home office
Have you received any kind of correspondence after your dual submission? Have you by any chance received a UKVI feedback survey?
None at all. And I’ve checked my spam and everything :(

Just when you hit 6 months in mid Dec, send an email to HO asking for an update. I have seen majority cases getting decisions soon after the email is sent after 6 months are over. Hopefully, you will get your decision soon after, if not (wait a week after), email your MP to get an update from HO and that should resolve it.

I submitted my daughter's (14 months old) citizenship (14m old) application on 3rd Dec. However, the latest biometric appointment I could book is on 31 Dec. On 4th Dec, received an email from HO with a case ID saying that application has been received and is being considered. It may take up to six months to make a decision on your case.

I guess it's a generic response. When do the caseworkers start looking at the application, is it after submission or after biometric has been done?

I gave my biometrics as part of my ILR, do they ask to provide biometrics again for naturalisation? one of my friend told me that they may not ask for biometrics, if biometrics were already taken as part of previous application. Please advise

I have received a reply today. Was not very helpful 😐. It seems a kind of general email that HO reply
Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your email

By way of background, naturalisation is not an automatic process and we have to make a number of enquiries before we can reach a decision on whether to grant citizenship.
The nature and extent of those enquiries, and the length of time taken to complete them, varies according to the particular circumstance of each application.
The progress of outstanding enquiries is regularly monitored with the agencies carrying out these enquiries on our behalf. It is only when we have the results of the enquiries that we can reach a decision on whether citizenship should be granted. We do not, ourselves, carry out these checks and we cannot, therefore, be sure how long they will take in each case.
I appreciate that UKVI website gives the following information in relation to waiting times for naturalisation applications:
"All applications for citizenship are subject to enquiries to ensure that the statutory requirements have been satisfied. Because of these enquires, we anticipate that applications may take up to six months to complete. Some applications may be dealt with more quickly and some may take longer, depending on the nature of the enquiries to be carried out".
As you will note, it is also made clear on the website that, in some cases, these enquiries may take longer than average to complete. You will appreciate the need to be careful and thorough in such matters.

These enquiries are still ongoing in regards to your application and we are sorry for the delay. As soon as the enquiries outstanding on your application are completed, we will ensure that an immediate decision is taken, and that you will be notified accordingly.

Kind regards,

UKVI

Yes, but still there will be some movement in your file now. I have seen many cases where applicants got these generic replies and decisions right after too. So stay positive.
