Hi Cullinan

Have you heard back after your approval confirmation from UKVI ?

I have sent an email 2 weeks before that I have been waiting since mid of June no reply from them so far.
For your approval?

shall I call them to chase up, even they didn't send my child's certificate.
Child’s application is approved?

Thanks in advance :(

My wife submitted her naturalization application in August 2020. Im a british citizen. She has had ILR since 2012. I know we are within 6 months but in other timelines I have seen approvals after 3 months.

We got an email as below.

""
We aim to process all applications within 6 months from the date submitted. However, in certain circumstances this target is not possible. Following our assessment of your case, unfortunately it appears your application will not be processed within the 6 month target.

This is because it is taking longer than usual to process applications because of coronavirus (COVID-19). This will not affect the decision

We expect to make a decision on your application as soon as possible, but we will write to you again if this is not going to be possible ""

Is this actually due to covid or something else? Should I wait until 6 months and then chase
Did you get this email after biometrics? or after submitting the application form
since i haven't received any email after i submitted my biometrics

This is a generic email. It has no relevance to the decision pace. Ignore it. It is system auto generated. Many people reported getting decision right away after this email also. You should wait patiently for now till 6 months are up. Hopefully you will get a response soon.
oh sorry i read your comment after i had already commented , so this is just a generic email
good to know

Hey Cullian, thank you for all your help and morale boosts. I've been an avid reader of this thread for a while now.

I have a quick query. I remember you emailed the HO for an update on your application. Can I please ask what address(es) you sent your email to? There are quite a few going around and I want to make sure my update query goes to an address that's manned.

Greatly appreciate your help with this.

Hello,

I submitted my application for naturalisation as a British Citizen on 24/11/2020 but have not yet received any invitation to submit my biometrics using the UKVCAS IDV app. I believe I am eligible to submit biometrics using UKVCAS IDV app as I did provide my biometrics as a part of my ILR application in October 2019.

Could someone please guide/share how long is the Home Office taking nowadays to send the above invitation to eligible customers?

Many thanks.

You need to make a biomteric appointment at ukcvas.

Idv app is no longer in use and hasn't been senjce September except for student visa applicants.

Hey Cullian,

I applied 02/07. Will be six months in a few weeks.

I plan to wait until it’s six months before emailing them, but ideally want to get this ready for then. If you could let me know the best emails to contact HO (or private message me) will be most appreciated. Thanks ;)

Hi Cullinan

I have sent an email for the update after reading your post here, seems you may be forget.

I have received my survey email in mid of June, I have raised a question here to see if anyone received similar email but everyone and even moderator closed the topic.

after reading your experience I have sent an email and surprisingly response received very next day with confirmation that application approved for the whole family means me, my wife and my daughter. same email copy paste 8 to 10 weeks you will get your ceremony invitation. I have send now twice email to check any progress as our application was approved back in Mid June and no update whatsoever

I thought they will send my daughters certificate immediately as she do not need go for ceremony.
Have you got any update ?

Thanks

@regularuser
I am sorry I sometimes forget as I reply to many people and keeping track of everyone is difficult.

You said you already received approval after chasing HO right?

You need to be patient to receive ceremony invitations now. Seek help and follow the citizenship ceremony group pinned at top of this forum.

You may get your daughter’s certificate sent first OR get it together with your certificates at the ceremony itself. HO seems to follow both ways in different cases.

Looking to book a Biometric appointment on the UKVI portal but can't find any appointments till 11th Jan or after. I think UKVI will email me to book the appointment? Hope this is correct, any idea approximately when, please.
Thanks,

Hi everyone. I have been following this topic and found it very helpful, massive thank you to all.
I got my approval for Naturalisation yesterday along with my wife. But haven't received confirmation for my daughter. Me and my wife have citizenship ceremony next week. Local authority has received mine and wife's certificates and not my daughter's.
My understanding was that family applications get decisions together. I called homeoffice but they said they couldn't give an update. Have emailed on the emails shared on this forum and awaiting reply.
Just wondering if anyone else had the same experience and if child's applications are considered separately?
Will appreciate your thoughts. Thank you once again.

There is no family application concept for AN. All applications are processed on their own merits and individually. All applicants have to meet the requirements individually.

Having the family in the same account does not mean all applications will get decision at the same time.

How old is your daughter?

Read your approval letter again? Does it state her details also??

Did you get two separate approval letters for your wife and yourself?

Since she is a child, I suppose her certificate will be sent to your home address.
