Hi 🙋🏻‍♂️ ,
I need to move from my current address to another.
Since I have just received my approval and waiting for my invitation letter, does anyone know what I need to do?
Do I need to inform HO that I changed my address ?
I thought that might be better to buy redirection service from post office rather than updating my address. I can not trust HO. :?
:o if you can't trust PrEtty and her office, who else could you trust?!?

Get your MP involved . I did it and in my case It was positive.
I did! She wrote to them almost 2 weeks ago and I haven't heard anything since.

Hi all

A bit of a long shot, but is there anyway to track my Naturalisation application status?

I applied on 01 Nov 2020. So it's just over 4 months. But I am beginning to wonder whether the email approval could have gone to my junk and got permanently erased after the 30 day period in gmail. I haven't been checking my junk email until a few days ago. So I just wanted to check the status of my application.

I appreciate that there are quite a few applications which have taken longer than 4 months and some longer than the service level agreement of 6 months. But I just thought, I'll ask the question to check whether someone found a clever way to track applications.

Of course, I can contact the Home office and check. But before going down that route, just wanted to check for any alternate and easier ways to track the application.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks
Best regards
Alakazam.

I can imagine your frustration, I am just two months into it and I am already tired. Unfortunately there is no other way to check than to just wait for the approval letter to come either by email or post. You can however try calling them as you mentioned, it has worked for some in the past.

Hello,
We are a family of six. It turned out that finding a free appointment for taking our biometric is a nightmare. I followed all the advice mentioned earlier, I made a table of the eight Core Service Points, I changed my postcode, and I checked every 15-30min from 6-9, after midnight, and sometimes during daytime. For a week now, No chance for a free appointment!

I am thinking of writing to the HO to try and split the application into two groups of applicants. Or even try to withdraw the application and get the fees refunded (somehow), then resubmit two applications of three so that the possibility to find free appointments can enhance (theoretically).

Do you think either way would work?
Should I keep looking for free appointments? Or pay the £672 and earn time?
Please share your experience, especially if you have a large family 4+?

I have a family of 8. I had to pay £880 to get appointment as there was no free appointment for two weeks with intensive search just like yours. Someone submitted his application same day as mine and got free appointment a week after. I got a month after despite paying £880. It is therefore the way it’s been programmed in my own opinion. If you don’t mind the time you can actually withdraw application as you have suggested and apply in twos. I would have done the same thing but wanted to beat time.

I have emailed NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists@homeoffice.gov.uk sometime back to check on the status of my application and they replied back with:

"
Your application is currently progressing through the system as normal, applications are currently taking approx. 6 months to process, however due to the current corona virus pandemic this may take longer as UKVI is operating with reduced staffing levels as per current government guidelines.

We will contact you should we require any further information or once a decision has been made."

I am not really sure if they actually checked my application or this was just a standard reply everyone gets.

Other than this there is no way to check the status as far as I know.

Thanks for your reply, I have managed to snatch an appointment for free this morning after a long and stressful waiting time.

For anyone in my position and still struggling to book an appointment here what I have done: I logged-in to my UKVCAS account at 08:59am and into the booking system exactly at 09:00am chose my core point -> then I selected one of the VERY RARE available slots -> confirm, and job done!

Good luck everyone.

Hi Alakazam,

I don't think there is any way to track the application within 6 months of submission. In the naturalisation timeline thread, I see many ppl are waiting since November.

I also applied in November and am still waiting for the approval letter. I did not hear anyone reporting the mail to go in Junk folder, so there is a high chance that it has not been approved yet. I did e-mail at nationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk to check if they can update me on my application but got a standard reply to wait for completion of 6 months before I can ask for a status update.

I can understand that the process is slow and frustrating but I guess the only option that remains for us is to wait.

Please do update when you receive your approval as it gives a ray of hope to others who are in the same boat.

All the best.

Hello everyone,

Is it normal that after having both submitted application (Nov 2020) and attended biometrics appointment (Dec 2020) at UKVCAS that when logging into my account at: https://visas-immigration.service.gov.uk/
that I still get the following message below "Payment succesful"

"You have a few more steps before your application will be complete." Lady at UKVCAS said all done and just need to wait so a bit confused why I still get this message. That normal or scould that indicate that application is stuck somewhere and someone forgot to press a button?

Many thanks,

Fabian

Hi tempuser

Thanks for your response. It's some comfort that no one has reported that the email went to their junk folders.

I guess we will have to wait another 6 weeks or so before we can demand for any status update.

Will keep you posted on any developments.

Best regards

Hey guys, I just submitted my application and I have been transferred to book my Biometrics appointment. However, I have checked two different cities for appointments and the only available are in a month time and it says they cost between £112 and £138. I thought they were meant to be only £19.20 and are already paid. Does anyone know how the best way to book an appointment?

If you are not in a hurry, keep searching your closest centres at 11.59pm every night, they update their server by 12am, so you can be lucky to see a free one to book.

In my own case I was forced to pay £110 per applicant after a week search without success. You might be lucky as you are applying alone and not as family. I think having applied as a family made mine a little difficult to get a free date. A lot of people that submitted their application after me got biometric appointment before me because they applied alone. So try.

Hey lads!

So I forgot to update here, but I received my letter in January confirming I was approved for citizenship!

Having a fight with Hounslow about delaying the ceremony, but that's not relevant to this thread; I'll just make a new one, but yeah, took a full 6 months to get the letter but here we are :)

Can anyone give me some details regarding the biometrics appointment I have already booked? Do I have to submit the documents before the appointment(I have already uploaded them into the system) or it's OK to wait for them to submit it for me at the appointment? I might have missed something, unknowingly, and I just wanted to be sure I have everything ready. I have to mention that the appointment is at an enhanced point and I have paid around 138 pounds.
Many thanks guys :)

Also, did you submit your documents on the UKVCAS webdite as I read this?
EU Settlement Scheme applications
If you are applying through the EU Settlement Scheme you will need to scan and upload all of your supporting documents when making your application with UKVI. Please do not upload additional documents with your application when using the UKVCAS service.

I have applied to register my little one as a British national, and it the docs were uploaded on the ukvcas website.
The referees were uploaded on other documents tab.
I am not sure if I have to submit the application prior to my appointment or it can be submitted on the day during the appointment.

Hello,

I have ILR and 1 year in the UK.
I have applied on the 8-Jun-2020 for naturalization for me and the family (wife, 3kids and myself).
It has now been more than 9 months that I'm waiting for now.

We used the APPS they sent us somewhere at the beginning of September to upload the photos and submit the application instead of having an appointment.
In November I tried to set an appointment but it was cancelled.

I sent an email to the enquiries on 31-Jan-2021 but didn't get a response, it says that they always reply in 20 days, but it has been more than 2 months now.

When I call them the guy told me that he can't help me as the UKVisa doesn't reply to his queries these days.

Any advice about what can I do here?

Thanks,

Noam
