Hello guys

can someone answer on my below question please ?

last year i received approval email of SET LR in JULY 2020 but i received my BRP CARD of ILR in SEP 2020 after 2 months of approval email. on the BRP card issuing date is SEP. So my question is when can i apply for naturalisation in july (decision date ) or september (BRP ISSUING DATE ) ?

September, After 1 year of your ILR issue date.

September, After 1 year of your ILR issue date.

Assuming you are not married to a British Citizen. If you are married to a British Citizen you do not have to wait 1 year on ILR.

but my question is still there when to start counting my 1 year

1 MY 1 year will be completed on 22 july 2021 ( Decision / approval email received 22 july 2020)
2 or 6 sep 2021 ( BRP card received 6th SEP 2020)

If your ILR was approved in July 2020, you can apply for Naturalisation in July 2021 in your case. Best to apply for SAR to confirm the ILR approval date. ILR approval date is what matters not BRP issue date.

Sorry I did not read your first message properly as previous user had already replied. However, yes you can apply for Naturalisation after being on ILR for 12 months counting from ILR approval date.

Note, you will need to send proof of your BRP when you apply for Naturalisation. Best to attach a copy of the approval email and SAR along with the documents. Also clarify in the cover letter about the ILR approval date. There could be technical issues why BRP was issued so late after approval.

do i need employment history ?

how to get employment history ?

All you need to list is employment in UK for the last 10 years (if any). Dont you remember where you have worked in the last 10 years? Dates can be estimates or you can leave it blank.
There is no need to get employment history from HMRC if you remember the work you have done in the last 10 years.

hey all

i need help on following questions i got ILR on the basis of 10 years ( decision email on 22 july 2020 and BRP CARD was issued in September) coz i need to apply citizenship in next few weeks CONSIDERING 22 JULY 2021 if someone can help that would be great

(1): proof of living in the last 5 years ? if its passport then i have 4 previous passports so shall i scan all 4 passports, every single page or the last one if i scan the only last one it does not cover last 5 years ?

(2); proof of freedom from immigration restriction ? if i send my BRP card (ILR) , i got card after 2 months of decision so it does not cover last 12 months coz it was issued late so can i print and scan decision email ?

(3) employment history : i just remember the years and little bit confusion of months, is it enough if i just put years ?

(3) employment history : i just remember the years and little bit confusion of months, is it enough if i just put years ? Ideally month and year will be sufficient - gives as much detail as you have/can remember. Add a covering note explaining what you have done for completing employment section.

hey guys i have few questions if anyone can help me it would be great

(1) i start application today i am filling form etc but i receive ILR last year on 22nd july is it ok if i start now and submit applications after 22 july like 23 24 or after ? can i start filling form NOW ?

(2) while i was filling form the question was "At any time have you ever had any of the following, in the UK or in another country?" i had points on my driving licence in 2011 but not anymore shall i click YES on driving offence or NO ?

(3) it was asking my parent detail, shall i fill it or leave it empty coz in ILR from my solicitor left it empty ?

Hi Guys

i Have pakistani passport and i m due to apply citizenship application in a week time.
i went to pakistan in January so on pakistan air port they stamp my passport ( ENTRY STAMP ) when i left pak i came via london and then local flight to my city (liverpool). on the way back, again pakistani airport stamp my passport with EXIT STAMP but on london they just scan my passport with no stamp and it was local flight to liverpool so no stamp as well.

is it normal ? or they may have not stamped coz of corona virus ?i have only entry and exit stamp from pakistan not from UK, is it ok to proof 5 years residency and holidays as well ?
