Hi Guys, a quick question for those who've used the Online method of application. Can someone throw some light on the Acknowledgement letter/email for the application? I applied for my naturalization yesterday online and have my NDRS appointment tomorrow.
I made the payment yesterday and got an immediate email response confirming the payment and application reference number.

Can someone please tell me if there's meant to be an acknowledgement email on top of this? Just curious to know if I should be expecting anything else.

Thanks alot!
You will get another email hopefully in 24 hrs from the HO with a case number allocated.

Ah cool, thanks for that.

One more question, for my NDRS application, am i supposed to take a print out of my online submitted application form as well? I just don't want to print out this massive form without a need for it.

Thanks for the responses. Even through, I can't see any reason they'd want us to, I'll take a printout just to be on the safer side.

Don’t waste your ink and paper. I had mine on the 1/3/18 and the guy told me that because you’ve submitted your application already and that the service is only for them to check your documents. But, it’s your choice. Good luck

No!

You can get the referee forms at the end of the application BEFORE the declaration and payment option.

You will have to fill the application and reach till the end to get them.

Where can I get the referee forms? I am at stage 5 out of 6, the one called “pay”.
All I can seem to be able to do is edit my answers or return to the application later... Where do I find the forms?
At Stage 4, on the page titled "Referee Declatations", you have hyperlinks to download Declatation - Referee 1 & Declaration - Referee 2. Download these are PDFs and print those out for referee signatures
Many thanks, the council where I am going did not know about this option.
I hope they are the same forms as the ones produced at the end of the online process.
I saw that they do not have any details of the referees I have added to the online form. They need to add their name/date/etc manually.
Thanks

Hi,
I have an appointment at the local council on Monday.
I must get all the information right as I will be leaving the country for 3 weeks with work.

My plan is to submit my online application and pay on Saturday. I understand I will receive a letter indicating the number of my Biometric information straight away, right?
Can I go straight to the post office straight away for the Biometric submission?

Do you see any risks that I will not be able to do it in time? On the post office website it does say that they cannot guarantee they see you on the day you need it, especially if it’s Friday or Monday.
Any advice would be highly appreciated.

No need to worry, thats just a precaution on post office website, it takes less than 10 mins.
and ya soon as you pay u be able to download ur Biometric straightaway. and then do it any time after that.
You will need an appointment at ur local council if they do NDRS or any other council who does it with your payment ref#. and take all the docs listed when u finish ur online application,
Hope that helps

Yea, they're the same. They're generic forms which need details to be put in along with your pictures (name & DOB on the back). The details you put in the form don't show up in these.

Thanks Abishek
The council asked that I go with 4 passport pictures (I'm also applying for the passport at the same time). Do you know if they mean 2 glued to the referee forms and 2 additional ones?

Hi Members,
I have aleady submitted AN online application .
I am planning to submit the documents (NDRS+paper passport form ) on Monday however I was checking my credit score online and found that under CIFAS ,there was one entry that I was victim of fraud in Jan-18 .
Subject role- Victim of impersonation
Subject role qualifier- Victim (02)

I think it's related to my online bank account application with Nationwide Buiding society in Jan-18 .I submitted the application however sent an email to cancel this.

It's clearly mentioned on the Credit report and as per CIFAS customercare that

This information does not affect your credit rating, it acts as a warning that you could be at higher risk of identity theft and prompts organisations working with Cifas to take extra care with applications in your name.

Do I need to worry about anything ? Please confirm.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Everyone,

I am preparing my application for next month.

I got EEA family member PR after retention of rights: Is it correct to select I am EEA / Family member of EEA citizen in the form.

I have doubt as when selecting this I am asked to enter the PR number and it say that the number should start with UKFxxxxx however mine start with RGxxxxx.

Can someone please advise.

Thanks in advance.

hope that helps.

Just for clarification. Me and spouse applying same time for BC can we share the online application in anyway

(at minimum fill one out and then copy paste it all to other form for changes as most info will be the same)

Each applicant must complete their own form with their relevant details.

I submitted my documents on Friday, and the council representative told me that they can't advice on what documents to send and what not. I ended up providing them with 5 pics in total (2 glued to the referee declarations and 3 separately). Along with the Passports & BRP, I also gave them a copy of my drivers license, my post-grad certificates along with a copy of the old PBS calculator as i selected the option of previously proving my qualifications.

Finally, I also submitted proof for work for all my time in the UK (last 5 years by HMRC's letter, and the 1st two years by providing P60).

Hope that helps!

Filling in travel dates:

I have over 80 trips last 5 years (in xls) if I sent a paper application I would just attach the print out as it is a pain to fill the days one by one. Any chance to do that for an online application?

Also as you fill leave and return date would it not be easier for the system to compute days abroad rather than you have to fill them yourself?

The online application allows you to fill upto 30 trips, but it doesn't calculate the number of days outside UK, you still have to manually enter that.

For the remaining trips, I provided an excel.

So online application is quite new and may not be clear answers to this, I would assume best to fill most recent 30 or just attach all 80 trips in one go (as I would in paper application). Is there place to upload files in the application or should I just send it with the application (NDRS package)?

Difficult issue: in proof of living in UK it says "if you do not have your passport, or it was not stamped when you entered the UK, you need to include letters (for example, from your employer of government department) as proof"

This was not a requirement for ILR (T1e, SET(0) ). It was also not a requirement for ILR the reason of absence and hence no proof needed either. And except for some passport stamps I did not give proof,as I am a "registered traveller" and can use the EU/UK lines to enter the UK and don't get stamped. I just wrote that in the covering letter.

I guess I can get my company (I am CEO) to write a letter, but is it supposed to be different from ILR to BC?
