Good morning all ;
just question regarding the Online application, what documents need to be sent as proof of residency for the last 5 years? they motioned that the bank statement and Bills are no longer useful as a proof of residency for this application. should i use only my P60s and payslips or should i send the old passport with the current one to show the stamps for any travel i did during the past 5 years?
It depends on whether you are EU/EEA or not – it's my understanding that P60s/payslips etc are required for EU or EEA applicants because their passports aren't stamped on entry/exit to and from the UK, so don't serve as proof for continuous residence. If you are non-EU/EEA I believe you may just submit your current and any expired passports that cover the relevant period to prove your presence in the UK.

Yes I'm a non EAA familly member, and my passport is only stamped when i get to my country or leave it but not when i come to uk. do you think is better to add the p60s and payslips

I can't say for sure, but I think logically if your passport does not prove which dates you were in the UK (which it sounds like it doesn't), then you need additional evidence in the form of your P60s and payslips.

Hi everyone I am filling my application form at the moment and there is one question left that I don't know how to answer
"Have you made any previous UK immigration applications in the UK or abroad?"
As an EEA national I have a permanent residence card. Does permanent residence qualify under UK immigration application. Previously in appilication I have indicated my permanent residence number.
If the answer is yes then I need answer Yes. But..
The next question is even worse "Name in which you made the application "
The main applicant for permanent residence was my father, because we applied as a family.

Please, can someone tell me whose name I should write under this question (if previous answer is yes),
my father's name or my own name.

Hi
As per my PR Letter being the Non EEA family member of the EEA it says i acquired the status on 04-11-2017. Does that mean i can only submit my citizenship application online on 04-11-2018. There is an update on the weblink for online application that the system is changing on 05-11-2018. Can i submit the application today as it is complete to avoid any issues that may occur due to the new system introduced on 05-11-2018.

Can i book my NDRS appointment prior to submission of my citizenship application online ?

Thanks

Yes you definitely need to wait. As you can apply for citizenship 1 year after you got your Permanent residence.

Thanks for your prompt response and ok noted about the wait.

I just phoned my local council for NDRS and they said they do not offer this service any further. Can i book it anywhere in the UK or it had to be my local council only. It says online it has to be within 10 days of online submission, what if i could not find anywhere like a slot in the 10 days?

Hi all :) Quick Question -

I got my ielts English Certificate back in 2011 when i was applying for my spousal visa. I then used it again for ILR in 2014 and it was accepted. Im now applying for citizenship, its to my understanding that this will still be accepted? On form AN its asking for a unique testing centre number? What number is this? Is it the Test report number? Candidate number or what?

Thanks again for all for being so helpful on here :D

Hi there. There is a new system of submitting online applications where appointments to have documentation checked and biometric data collected that will commence next week. That's why councils are stopping their arrangements for NDRS as well as NCS. However, there are some that still offer appointments for the coming weeks and you can approach any council as you wish. Always check and book an appointment BEFORE submitting your online application.

Unfortunately, details of the new system have not been officially included at UKVI website, but you can see some information in the below link.

Perhaps the moderators can consider a new news topic on this subject to avoid people running around not knowing what is happening?

Can members posting in this topic ONLY post questions about the online form questions and NOT about the new system, paper forms etc.

Hi all,

I am filling up the online application form and got to the refree part asking: How does the referee know the applicant?

Do you think if I simply write “as a friend” is enough? Or should I give some more details e.g how we met, etc.

Thank you guys!

Hi guys,

I am applying for naturalisation online form. I had few questions

I thought i filled in the complete address details but looks like i have missed out the part I was in India as I got logged out due to inactivity. So my questions are

If I write a cover letter with my application before sending it explaining where I lived for the time that is missing in the online application.... I only realised after I paid for it assuming I ll be able to change it.

If i send all original document can I request it back as soon as they have seen it.

What is the timeline these days?

Sorry if these questions are already asked but any help is much appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

Does anyone know if we can still submit JCAP with NDRS following the recent changes in the Service centers and the UKVCAS ?

I had proactively set up a 14th November NDRS appointment for myself last month. I wanted to be sure I get a date within 10 days of submitting my online application.

But now, it seems like the only 2 options are either post office ("existing way" as referred to by HO) or Sopra Steria ("new way"). There is no mention of being able to use NDRS any longer. Or the mention of JCAP.

Does anyone know if NDRS can still be used? Perhaps, someone who has already filled a citizenship application online recently will be able to share what choices were given in the old form when it got to the Declaration, Pay steps of the application.

Thanks.

According to HO you can use existing method(s) until 29 November (see link below). You are lucky to have the NDRS appointment (smart move), because most local authorities are not accepting new bookings for NDRS. If in any doubt I suggest you call your local authority and seek their advice. And ask about JCAP too, because once Sopra Steria takes over in toto it seems JCAP is no more

Hello all,

I was filling my online naturalisation form ( have been filling it on and off since mid October 2018) and needed some advice in the employment section:

I am currently a director at 4 companies but only drawing a salary from 1. However, I can only enter 1 current employment. What should I do? Since technically non of the other 3 directorships fall under "previous employments"

Thanks!

Hi

In the NDRS online application form, as well as in the passport application form, I am required to write the full names of both my parents. Would it be useful to also submit copies of their passports in the appointement?
