I just got my passport just now @11:35am, the guy just pushed it through the letter box, didn't need to sign for it which am surprised. Thank the lord. Am shocked it came in 2 days because i was expecting 3-4 days after it was printed on Monday. Anyway, I thank God for his grace and mercy and I thank God for the substantial support from everyone in this forum and I wish you guys all the best in your journey to your British books and just remember to keep looking at each other's timelines for a peace of mind. x

I got asked name and to spell all of my names.
where I lived
how long it took to get to the passport place
how i travelled to work and what bus
which department i worked in
how many back accounts I had
Do i have any student loans or general loans
How many sisters i had
name of all the schools i went to
my previous home address
do i own my home or is it rented
where my parents were born and both date of birth and plus all their names
when did I entered the UK and what date?
why I applied for british citizenship
How did I settle the KOLL for citizenship

Mines weren't as detailed as the person next to me when they asked her about her lounge and where things are situated in her house lol

You will be fine, they only ask stuff only you alone would know about

Did you include return self addressed envelop for your docs?

Recieved invitation letters for interviews today and booked interviews for this Saturday morning! Booked in Portsmouth!
Nervousness has crept in now and don't think I will sleep till it's over! I HATE INTERVIEWS

Eligibility: 10 years Long Residence & 1 year ILR
Application sent: SELF(did not use Post Office check and send)
Date application posted: 4 February 2014
Received by UKPS: 5 February 2014
SMS: none received from them, only knew that it arrived safely when money was deducted from bank account
Interview booking letter: received on 18 February 2014 (dated 15 February 2014)
Documents received: 19 February 2014
Interview date: booked for 22.2.14
Passport received: 26.2.14

TTOE, special delivery? Theres an option in the form to pay extra for secure delivery of supporting docs. I went for that option.

Date of Receipt of Interview Letter: 26/02/2014- dispatched today. HMPo revealed information as I had an emergency and I wanted my supporting documents back. Probably get them on Friday 28th.
Date of Return of Documents: 26/02/2014 -collected personally from HMPO otherwise they would send by ordinary post bcos post office did not do their job properly. Just in the nick of time.

Can someone tell me if there is a certain timeline within which I have to arrange for the interview? If so, what is it?

Hi guys! Silly question, but I am confused!
I had my ceremony yesterday but I have not got my original passport back yet. Can someone tell me if I need to put it in my British passport application or do I just need to put my naturalization certificate only? If I do need to put my original passport in then when can I expect it to arrive? Thanks!

You need to send all uncancelled passports. Looking at the timelines thread you should have it back in around 2-3 weeks time.

Just a quick question.

I applied via po check nd send on sat 21st and checked with hmpo yesterday if they recd my application.
However they haven't yet !
Juz wondering does it take more than 4 days for them to receive it ? Is it ?

I guess, after HO, even HMPO has got many applications in short span, so it might take bit more for them to put applications on their system.

Recently many naturalisation applications got approvals, so expect delay at HMPO, give them a week or so.

Don't worry, it takes a while for the applications to be logged on the system.
Even though I received the SMS 6 days after sending the application the helpline people could not confirm anything for another 2 days, so give it at least 7-8 days.

Sorry to hear about this zubbshah. I dont quite understand the point of the check and send service, its a simple 4 page form. Also from the timelines on this thread they seem to take upto a week to send the application to ips whereas if you apply yourself it reaches next day.

Thanks jonjr023 and apple02 for your replies. I was thinking to give them a call today but, I woke up with the door bell today and the postman hand me a very small envelope, never though it would be the passport but the moment I had it in my hand, there it was my passport. (my photo came out totally awesome btw)

It says it was delivered from their Belfast offices on the 24th of this month and checked the signature. .its says recd by hmpo...been scribbled. ..
Hmmm....a bit curious. ...it was posted thru West London post office nd it says delivered by Belfast office.....
Is this how it works ?
I thought..its recd in Victoria office. ..casue the application was from London ??
