British Passport Application submission before receiving the certificate

Hi Gurus,

Apologies in advance if this had been addressed in earlier topics.

I would like to apply my British passport and my ceremony date is on 5th June 2021. Can i submit the application before the ceremony date and send the documents on 5th upon receiving my certificate?

As far as I know you need to submit all documents (certificate & passports) together. Certificate number also needs to be quoted on the application. HMPO won't start processing an application unless all documents are present, in original.

You can only apply for a British Passport AFTER you become a British Citizen. You will become British only only on 5th June. So you can not apply for a British Passport now anyways.
