Application date - 08/03/2017, Status is 'Awaiting a Decision' updated on 25/05/2017. Hopefully the status will change to 'Decided' this week!

i have applied on 6th march checked my status last week friday showed decided on 5th june.
i was expecting a letter today nothing came yet
anxiously waiting i dont know what is in brown envelope?
hopefully a good news.

Hello guys what is application date is it from the day u post to ho or from the date the ho take there payment from my bank acct, am getting confused, my application sent on 10/2/17 they took the payment on 14/2/17 biometric letter dated on 1/3/17 sent out to me, guys advise me from what date should I count from

Alhamdulillah..mine one was decided on 8th June. got an approval letter today 12th. letter dated on 30th.

Hi applied on 8 march my status showing last updated 21 April and awaiting dicoson til now can anyone tel me when it's change ?

The inquiry service is run by Home Office UKVI and only they know what is happening, when things are updated, etc. The whole point is you check the website occasionally to see where you are in the process. No-one here can advise what it means and why your application is not where you expect it.

It's a shame that the categories aren't a little more specific. The last visa I applied for (a student visa), I registered my biometrics, they were sent to the Home Office, but some internal mechanism failed and my application didn't progress. It got to well beyond the time by which I should have had a decision, so my university contacted them and they realised what had happened. They did the rest of the process as quickly as they could, but that experience has made me a little paranoid and I wish there was some sort of list that got ticked off as they went. Something like,

• Money received.
• Biometrics received.
• Previous addresses checked.
• National Insurance contributions checked.
• Referees checked.
• etc.

As it is, most applications will spend the majority of their time in the "Awaiting a decision" category, which doesn't really provide any extra information. The only gain I can see is that you get to find out when a decision has been made a few days sooner than you otherwise would have and know to look out for the letters.

Thanks for the tip! My husband's says "Awaiting a Decision." Mine says "Number unknown"! Uh oh!
We are applying for naturalisation, so yes, it seems to be working for some of those applications.
We applied around April 4th, 2017.

My Date of application: 08/03/2017
My Application Status : DECIDE
Application status updated on 11/06/2017.(But status updated online on 13/06/2017)

What does this mean?
The decision has been posted to you. You should receive this within 10 working days. We cannot discuss this decision online or by phone.

Fingers Crossed_hopefully receive approval by 23/06/2017
Will update either way

Note: I was monitoring twice daily since 08/06/2017 showed me "AWAITING DECISON" same on 13/06/2017 afternoon but evening it has been updated as above. Currently this trail version have some reliability issues I guess at least it's showing some information.

Home Office recruited 240 new permanent positions in the department dealing with visas and immigration in MAR 2017.
So I don't see the reason holding all applications, comment with reliable evidence.

Well at least we now know that it has some semblance of being a live system and updates in real time.

I doubt you'll find very many in this thread, MALIK336, since this is the citizenship subforum. Nearly everyone here has applied to naturalise in the UK and thus already have permanent residence or indefinite leave to remain.

There is a thread in the the Indefinite Leave to Remain subforum that you might want to join instead.

what type of joke is this........website mentioned my decision has been made on 5th june and its 14th june now i have nt received any letter yet but another member here got his approval when he check his status on 8th june and got his letter by 12th june......i am waiting over than a week i dont know if its really decided or its a glitch on website tried (2 references OUR Ref which showed decided and then case ID decided).
cant wait more even unable to sleep

hi mnu i know but one of the member got his status updated on 5th june and he got his letter already by 12june and his ceremony on 21june why we r left behind lol
