Hi,
Home Office are working closely together with GCHQ and from your username, ip etc they work out who you are and then they delay processing your application by a week every time you complain about them so be careful.Mafurebo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 9:04 amHi guys and girls, after my analysis, I can say that those who applied in JAN,FEB,MARCH,APRIL 2017 have got their decisions as no one is debating here. NOW, I think HOME OFFICE is dealing with those who applied in MAY and JUNE. BUT, why is it taking longer then when we know that in 240 CASE WORKERS have been recruited in June this year. Again REMEMBER, from JAN TO March people have been receiving their decisions after 2,5 months waiting.
I applied on 19/6/2017. Still waiting. Home Office work in a mysterious way![]()

No mate...k1w1 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 26, 2017 2:35 pmDoes anyone know if decision letters have been received without an update being posted online? Frustratingly my application status was "Awaiting Decision" and is now "Reference Number Not Recognised". I applied in early May, as did a friend a few days after me under exact same conditions (5 years on ancestry visa plus 1 year ILR). His was approved late August and got the letter early Sept, and has now done the ceremony. I'm still waiting.
Heya I applied June 14th, my application was decided on 17 Sept and appeared on 19th sept. I live in london and received my approval letter today 26th Sept with letterhead date of 20 Sept. Hope this helps x
I know right. It's ridiculous. £1282 you'll expect it'll be posted with special recorded delivery or a simple 1st class stamp. Disgracefularavindb4u wrote: ↑Wed Sep 27, 2017 1:24 pmAfter longgggggggggggggg wait.. just this afternoon, my case changed online to DECIDED.![]()

(Appeared online at 27-Sep-2017 afternoon, it says decided on 25-Sep-2017)
FYI, I applied on 8th of May.
Now the wait begins for the letter that would have been posted by 2nd class 2 days back. (argghhhhh)

I saw this in the FT newspaper last week, which puts the delay a lot of us are experiencing in context:
"Applications for British citizenship from the 14 “original” EU member countries including Germany, France and Italy have more than tripled since the year before the Brexit referendum, analysis has revealed."
"Kxxxxx xxxx, head of immigration at xxxxxxxx, warned that the data were likely to underestimate the real scale of the applications because of the sheer number of those that are pending and have yet to appear on the published statistics."
“Processing times for citizenship applications are now taking six or seven months having increased from a two to three-month decision timeframe,” she said. “The [Home Office’s] Nationality Directorate appears to be inundated with applications and we understand it is working overtime to reduce the backlog.”
