Hi Farrukh,
Can you please assist with the below queries as i have a naturalisation application pending from Aberdeen.

- Did you recieve your approval letter from Home office on 4th Jan by post or by email?
- Did you receive you ceremony letter by post or email?
- Have you managed to book a ceremony with Aberdeen council now. If so how far away have you managed to get the ceremony booked for and is it a private ceremony? Also did you contact council by phone or email?

Thanks very much

Tell them there's been a mistake as the Home Office has already confirmed 4 months ago that the paperwork for all applications approved up to August 2020 had been printed and processed. Therefore no one is likely to be working on your application and hence you'd like it to be investigated.
Yeah, I will try this Thanks Thanks Thanks for the help, to be honest, I've got depression and anxiety because. and I may do repeat uni year that bad my situation is :(
I understand this causes a lot of distress. But your application has been approved, so it's just an admin mistake.
Follow up on all the channels, communicate it's some mistake on the Home Office side as they've confirmed it's done but you still haven't received any paperwork, so it needs to be investigated and further wait won't change anything.
Out of all the channels the MP is probably the most powerful one. And do submit complaints at the HO website.
Hi mate
I got this!

Dear xxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for contacting UKVI Contact Centre.

The appropriate team are aware and are dealing with your request. UKVI hope to action your request as soon as possible.

UKVI is keen to continually review and improve its service to our customers. To help us to do so we would be grateful if you could complete a short online survey. Please access the survey using the following link:

https://www.homeofficesurveys.homeoffice.gov.uk.

Yours Sincerely,

What should this mean?
I never got this. Maybe fill out the survey indicating there's been some mistake with your paperwork printing and it's incredibly frustrating. And keep chasing via all the other channels..

Hi,

Approval letter came per email on the 4th.
Ceremony letter always comes by post.
I called Aberdeen City council today and they told me to send an email to registrars@aberdeencity.gov.uk
Which I just did. They said it might take couple of days. Typical!
But I think Aberdeen Council is not very bad, as last time I talked to the lady at the phone, she told me that typically they manage to arrange ceremonies within 1-2 weeks.

Good Luck )

Any new information as to what date they have reached yet in terms of invitations letters being sent out? It’s Easter week so I’m guessing nothing much going to happen this week. Was approved on 15th Jan and am still waiting......!

Hi,

Timeline:

Citizenship application: 26 Oct 2020
Biometrics: 26 Nov 2020
Approval: 22 Jan 2021
Invitation letter from Council: 31 March 2021
In person Ceremony date: 11 April 2021
Home Office Citizenship Invitation letter: Not received

I’ve received Citizenship invitation letter from Liverpool Council but haven’t got my invitation letter from the Home Office.
Ceremony date is 11/04/21.
I contacted Liverpool Council and hopefully someone will get back to me this week to discuss it further.
Has anyone handled situation similar to this?

Thanks

Anyone in similar situation. The whole process is turning out to be a joke and gross incompetence while the HO racks millions from us in fees. The do not deliver on time or least by the time they say the would. It is frustrating, big time.

Great that you received your letters. I am still to receive the invitation from Essex council. They appear to be so slow in the way they do things. The coronovirus epidemic has masked the incompetence in how public services are discharged.

Hi Guys
I have tried to book a private ceremony in Glasgow council but it seems the council does not have this option!

Am I right? I am not sure, anyone can help me?

If I am wrong and there is a private option, so how can I book it?

Thanks

In case this helps anyone with a similar timeline - I got my approval letter via email on the 8th of January and yesterday I received my invitation letter (dated 17th of March). I've managed to book a ceremony for 01/06 as that was the soonest available slot - Brighton and Hove council
