Can you please let me know what information i need from referees so i can ask them for their details? I haven't started or done the online application yet so if anyone can hint on this would really help. thanks

Full name, email address, postal address (last 5 years), passport number (if British citizen); DOB; phone number
Is the passport number compulsory requirement or is optional as not many referees would give that out?

For an accountant, can i use their business address or does that have to be personal address and is DOB is also required?

Passport number is compulsory if you referee is BC... well, you have to find someone who will..

You should provide an address where an individual lives rather than works..

What is the next step after citizenship application?

Is ceremony part of this application or do i have to apply for that separately?

At what stage you get to apply the British passport?

You will get a letter in the post that your application has been successful or not. If successful, you must then contact your local council to arrange a date for your citizenship ceremony. After attending ceremony you are then officially a British citizen and you get your certificate of naturalisation. You can then apply for a British passport

Enroll biometrics and docs and then you simply wait.
Is ceremony part of this application or do i have to apply for that separately?
You will get a letter to book ceremony if your application is approved.
At what stage you get to apply the British passport?
Once you are British, ie after you have attended your ceremony.

When applying online, Ask someone to confirm your identity - What information do I need for someone to confirm the identity? Is it again passport number and personal information as provided in the citizenship application or just an email address for passport application? I haven't started the application yet so just asking so i can get the required information from someone. Thanks

Hi businessmanuk,

Did you submit/start your application?

With the reference - did you do have to do twice ie print the reference pages separately.
Or did you do it online?

If you did online did you have to upload/open the digital one when with your referee for them to fill up?

Also with the two referee - did they have to fill in there British Passport numbers ?

Thanks in advance.
