Date and place of first arrival in the United Kingdom

Post by tomarx_123 » Fri Sep 02, 2022 8:30 am

Hello,

I am starting to collect the evidence to apply for naturalisation and I am confused about what to populate in the field 'Date and place of first arrival in the United Kingdom'.

My situation is as follows:
- arrived in the UK in 2006 (obtained a UK degree in 2013, which will be used to satisfy the language requirement)
- left the UK in 2014
- returned to the UK in December 2016 (2.5 years later)
- applied for settled status specifying that I arrived in the UK in December 2016, as I thought this was the qualifying period as I had previously left the UK for some time.

My question:
When I will fill the application, should I state that I have arrived in 2006 or 2016? Also taking into consideration that I will prove my knowledge of English by using a document dated 2013.

Thanks in advance!

My question:

Thanks in advance!
No sin in failing, you just have to try and try again!

Hi Ticktack,

Thank you so much for your prompt reply! I will use 2016 then.

Thanks again :)
