Deception start date for naturalisation

Hello everyone
I need an expert view plz
History is

I am in uk since 2009
In june 2012 student extension refused due to a false diploma ( deception charge)
Appeal dismissed
Time in between spent on different application
Jan 2014 married to EU national, visa refused
Appeal allows, got 5 years permit in july 2014
Got ILR/Settled status in july 2019
Naturalisation is apparently due soon

If i apply in july , maximum chances r refusal on good character ( deception)

Question is when the 10 years ban gonna finish??
When i can apply??
Can i apply in June 2022
( Visa refused/ deception june 2012 )

Try your luck in 2022 but it could be still refused. But there is no way to know until you apply.

There 2 issues here:

- For citizenship, you need 10 year clean immigration history. As you became legal in July 2014, you may only apply for citizenship in 2024. As rule of thumb, before applying for citizenship, look back during the last 10 years and you need to see that you were legally in the UK during that time. Otherwise, take the last date from which you became legal and add 10 years. That's give you the earliest date you may apply for citizenship.


- Using a false diploma to extend a leave and getting caught in the act, is a serious thing. I don't know why you appealed? Who uses forget documents then appeals when caught? This may cause trouble for any future citizenship application. They have a lot of discretion when it comes to citizenship. This means the naturalisation is not a right but a privilege. So they may hold that forgery against you regardless when you apply.

So you don't need to worry about citizenship before 2024.
