How long do you think it will take to give me my decision or answer ? Tomorrow Will be one week since I sent them answer to their questionnaires

Hi there, after sending my questionaire to them, and checked they received it online.
My decision came just 7 working days after that..
And those that av similar issues on the forum, received within one week too.

Hopefully you will receive yours too within the time frame. Pls keep us updated.

First of all thank you so much you are the man you were right I received my approval letter yesterday 7 days exactly and they said I should receive my ceremony invitation shortly and I contact them if I didn't receive it in 3 weeks I just have question do I need now to return permenant Eu family member card to the home office or doesn't apply on my situation.?

Hi good people, please i am very stressed, i am in the same situation. i received questionnaires and evidence. but with my case i could not send much documents and most documents i sent were copies. because i sent all my original document to home office in 2009. I was a victim of domestic violence back in 2009 and got an original letter from women's aid to confirm this. do you think i have chance to get granted citizenship? Thank you

Did you not get all your original copy back from HO in 2009?

And on what issues of your application, did HO sent you questionaire? How many questions were you asked? ( I was asked upto 8 questions in the questionaire)

Usually the home office knows that was long time ago and many documents got missed basically they want you to give them evidence that you didn't work at this period and the only way to prove it you have to show strong evidence that somebody was helping you financially or you were self sufficient stronger evidence you the more convincing you are

Surely homeoffice knows it's not possible to present all relevant docs for those periods / years.. mine was abt 10years ago, so I told them I couldnt get all docs in full..

But i provided as much as I can.

If you have not sent your questionaire yet:
You can also tell them, ( it's not possible to get all docs, cos of the years)

and I think the copies you have or sent will be fine, try as much to give them anything u can to show how you were surviving at those periods, (evidences of where u lived, evidences of who is paying the rent, etc) and "it's not ideal to show any docs indicating you were working, when you ain't allowed to work"

If all docs you have are copies, show it all.. As much as you show, is better than not showing anything at all.

Have u sent questionaire back yet tho?

@ smallpie.Thanks smallpie. Yes I have already sent the questionnaire. During my overstaying period I lived in 2 different addresses. With my first adress I couldn't prove much. I was being supported by red cross to pay my rent for almost a year. Buy I lost all the receipts and correspondence letters. I went to red cross to see if I could gets copies or a letter to confirm they were paying my rent bcz I was destitute. But when the checked with my mame they couldn't find my file as it was archived. So I get a letter from them to say that my file was archived since it has been very long. In my 2nd address I did prove that my partner was supporting me with . He was getting job seeker allowence and child tax credit for our kids. He was just being granted Asylum. I got a support letter from my partner and birmingham women's aid. I have one question In questionnaire number 2 and number 3 were bit confusing for me and I did not reply correctly. Can I sent them a letter to explein the discrepancies in those queston? And I found an old email conversation between me and my MP about writing to the Home office to ma que enquiry. Do think I can post them quickly for them to conside it? Thank you very much for your help.

Just wanted to let people know that my 4-month journey of waiting has come to an end this morning! I received my approval dated the 3rd of March (An easy day to remember!) this morning!
I applied on the 16th of November 2017! I am very grateful to this forum for all the valuable information! The forum has really helped keep me sane in the waiting process.

my reply: i lived in ........... with my 2 kids and my ex husband. i remembered at that time i was living with my kids as my ex husband left due to domestic abuse.
Question 3: how did you support yourself..( rent, bills, ...)
my reply was: my ex husband was paying the rent and when he left i was being supported by red cross. i was emotionally supported by women's aid due to domestic abuse
It should be i was being supported by red cress and Birmingham women's aid .

Please help! I hold a EEA Permanent Residence Card granted in 2014. I am a former EEA national family member. I applied for my naturalisation in February this year and received a letter today asking to provide a proof of Qualification in English. I am very confused as I have passed and provided my Life in the UK test certificate, can anyone advise if I also must have a qualification in English on top of it? Thank you.

Life test in Uk is not for English qualification it's a life test history and to be familiar with culture in Uk so you need to prove English qualification which is ilets or any uk studies easy way take trinity college grade 5 will cost you 150 pounds go on do it sorry to say that stupid reason to get your application refused

I think you have to wait until home office notifies the council at the same time you will wait for invitation so last Friday i phoned my local council and they said they haven't got anything from the home office yet about me they told me it should take one week if I haven't received any invitation from the home office then I have to contact the home office to see what's going on

I got exactly the same 8 questions..

You said you lived with your ex abit at that period, even tho the abuse was going on.. And he supported you and children with living costs, rent etc..I don't think that will be a problem.. Could you not find any correspondence to support that period he was supporting you? Before he left..

And any correspondence to back up the charity supports given to you and kids?

As for your second address location with your partner, I assume you found few correspondence to show his support and evidences of accommodation. ( mainly his docs of funds etc) or tenancy agreement...

As long as you didn't work at that period or show evidences of you working.. Or collect benefits when you are not allowed to.. ( I think that's what they are trying to figure out from you in particular).
You can send them additional docs if you av them, with covering note. ( signed for postage).. As long as the date they indicated on your questionaire letter hasnt gone.

Be positive, you will be granted.

WoW! Apparently, they know how to make money! I have just called my local council to enquire about group ceremonies and the soonest date is mid May (Probably they doing that on purpose so that people opt for private ceremonies

!) ! LoL! I am too excited and cannot wait for 2 more months so I opted for a private ceremony this week! £140 down the drain

! BTW, you do not always have to wait for a cermony invitation. I just received my approval letter which says I should arrange with the local council. I received the letter on Saturday and I phoned up my local council and they

Hi All,

I really appreciate the help and opinions of those experienced members of you regarding my case below.

Last month we (wife and myself) submitted our naturalization application on (14/02/2018), but today we got a letter for a Fixed Charge Penality (parking ticket) dated to ( 03/03/2018). Do you think this will have any impact on our application? Shall we call the HO and inform them of this?

I hope you could give me your opinion on this.
