BTW the passport fee went from our card about 10 days ago, so, if this matters at all, all sounds correct, just surprised to have received a letter from the Council before the letter from the Home Office.

Apparently it is an error with the checklist and should be submitted. However, when I had my NDRS appointment, the council registrar was pretty insistent she didn't need submit our B1 certs, but I insisted she did. Two questions - In my online application checklist, english language proof was not listed as one of the requied documents therefore I did not submit my master's degree certificate (from a UK university). However, I noticed in the forum that everyone is submitting english language proof document. In home office website, they also mentioned it but if it did not come up as required documents in the online application form checklist. Did anyone come across with a similar situation before?
Our council registrar, despite me pushing on the issue, wouldn't issue a receipt/note for the individual documents issued, as she said was not necessary at all. We got a receipt for the DX mail paid for to courier docs to HO, and the receipt for the Passport check and that was it.Second question - I submitted details of my two referees in the online application form and submitted their signed pages as well. However, person took my application in the council did not tick referee declarations in the list (in the copy that I have been given) . I am 100% sure that I have given declarations. I noticed it after I left the council. Is there anyway that I can check that with Home Office?

Well, after having spent half of the day today on the phone with Home Office help line, who were surprisingly helpful, and having asked our MP to contact HO direct on our behalf - mail has arrived late in the afternoon (it never does, only in the morning) and the letter was in there (dated 24th of October, 2nd of November today). I am applying through the spousal route and received my ILR in February. I spoke to UKVI and they told me to check with my council regarding booking an appt before submitting the application online as I need to make sure it is within 10 working days.

Also, aside from proof of employment letters what else did you provide as proof of being here for the last three years? Your current and any expired passports covering your qualifying period should be sufficient to prove residence. EU applicants are asked for employment letters because their passports aren't stamped when they enter or exit the UK. Some non-EU applicants submit employment documents anyway.
Lastly, if I am ok to send some originals could I send a mixture of originals and copies of documents?

First Question' - It is unbelivable that they have not fixed that problem before they inputted required documents in the checklist and it still shows inaccurate required document list!! Most people who applied in August seemed to receive their results by now so I am not sure whether this is delaying my process or not. I hope that they also look at ILR appplication details. (I applied ILR roughly one month before my citizenship application ans I submitted my post-graduate degree certificate) Should I send an email to Home Office to check the status of my application and also mention this issue and let them know language proof is available upon request?
Second Question - I have been given the copy of the documents taken for the application by the council registrar. I am sure that I have given referee declarations but it is not ticked as taken. How can I check this with Home Office? If I send them an email to check this, would it be approppriate or attract unnecessary attention may be?

You never know you might get approval before me. HO is unpredictable. I can see in timelines that they are now deciding 29th Septemeber and touching Oct. cases.

I am also led to believe based on forum members responses for your outlined issues, that HO would contact you if there is any problem and they require more documentation/evidence and most certainly, if they are not happy with regards your Referee's.
I would say you just need be patient, as some applicants have waited, months, more than 6 months and some, years.
Correct. One can only edit a post within 10 minutes of posting it. After that, any modifications require a new post.

In the Timeline threads, feel free to repost yourself if there are updates. But of course, those threads are for timeline posts only (think of it as data only) and not for general chit-chat or questions or conversation.
Just FYI I was going by this guidance from the main Timeline thread: Do not make more than one post in the topic. If writing initial post before the process is complete), please edit the original post to update - do not create a new post for every update. This will help members looking for approx. timeslines to figure out end-to-end processing time of a given application(s) at one place itself.
P60s etc are only required as proof of residence in the UK if the applicant's passport isn't stamped on entry/exit from the UK. When I applied online it explained that non-EU/EEA applicants can just submit their passports as evidence of living in the UK, while EU/EEA applicants must submit alternative evidence in the form of employment letters etc.
