I applied on the 18th of March and getting the same error message.
Thought this was accessible for six months after you submit your application....?

There is a problem displaying this page - try again in a few minutes.
The problem should be fixed soon, so try again in a few moments

Dear fellow applicants, can anyone help me please with the following information (I do need your advice):

1. My home country's EU passport (that I have applied with) has expired and I have left with my EU ID card that I use as document while traveling (same as the passport).

Should and can I renew my home country's passport while waiting for the naturalisation decision?

If yes, how to inform the HO about the changes and how it will affect the decision/passport application?
(I've written two emails to the HO, with no reply, I've read the guidelines, searched the Internet - nothing to be found).

2. May anyone suggest me the Home Office contact number, where I can ask the questions regarding the expired home country passport, please?

I am very anxious, as it is a very costly procedure and there is no clear information or contacts, and this uncertainty affects my study/work plans in a very negative way.
Please.

Yes you can renew your passport whilst your naturalisation application is pending. You do not need to inform the Home Office of a new passport. I renewed my foreign passport whilst my naturalisation application was pending and didn't have to report it either.

Hi all,

I have just submitted my AN form online and paid the fee. I am now looking for a core appointment that is free but there are non, and I will have to pay a bit extra to get it done sooner.
But I am wondering if the appointment is just for the biometrics and then I upload my documents online? I am trabvelling for work in a couple of weeks and I would like to keep my passport. Does anyone know if I will have to hand in my passport?

Thanks in advance.

you upload your documents before the appointment. They collect your biometrics and check that you've uploaded your documents properly at the appointment. You should have your originals with you at the appointment in case they need to re-upload anything.

You can't have applied for a British passport if you are not British.

What name is in your foreign passport??

I am applying for my naturalisation not a British passport. I was asked if l wanted to apply for a British passport in my name once l naturalise. So my question was does this mean my application was successful if they are calling to ask.

It doesn't make sense that you were asked about a passport when you have not applied for one. . That is a separate application with HMPO not HO, after you have been approved and attended your ceremony.

What name is in your foreign passport and what name did you put in the naturalisation form?

I don't feel comfortable giving out my name in a public forum but the name on my passport matched my name on my passport. I think l'll just call them back to clarify what the call was about. But the lady definitely asked me if l intend to use my maiden to apply for a British passport once l neutralise. Just wanted to know if anyone had experienced this too.

I did not ask you to post your exact name. Does your foreign passport have your maiden name or another name, ie married name?

Did you put your maiden name in the Form AN or another name?
but the name on my passport matched my name on my passport.
Not quite sure what you mean with this or if a typo?

Sorry that was a typo. I meant to say the name l put on my application matches my name on my passport. My passport has my maiden name but my BRP card has my married name. But l'm no longer married. So l guess thats why they called? Maybe?

Hi Everyone

I have just started my online BC application and am looking for some advise here
Would much appreciate any help guys

Tier1 BRP resident since 2011
ILR BRP card since 2016

While travelling back home to visit parents I have lost my national passport not so long time ago with all the history and stamps since 2016 gone. I got new passport right away but its practically blank now. I have got only a copy of a front page of my old passport.

So Q`s are:

1/ Does the lost passport create any complications to the application consideration process? Do I need to explain it? Do I need to write some covering letter? Anything to be aware of?

2/ How do I confirm I was present in the UK 5 years ago at the date of application? What evidence should I prepare?

3/ Similarly, how do I confirm my residency requirement - my travels and absences ? I do have a spreadsheet containing my travel history for last 6-7 years, but what evidence should I think of? Would a letter from the employer confirming all by business travels with dates and destinations suffice, for example?

Anyone had similar situation?

Thank you very much for your help!

I have applied 25th of Feb and still no news as well ( 4 month already).

How are home office confirm or come back to your regarding application? is it just Mail or will it be followed up by Email as well? just wondering if it is just Mail, it can be lost somewhere and there is no way to find out until whole 6 month will elapse?

thanks

Hi everyone,
i'm in process of filling out an application and am looking for advice on a couple of topics:

1. History of addresses.
In the past 5 years, I had two instances (one month and 2 months) where i was in-between flats and was staying with a friend. I'm putting friend's addresses in the history, but what is the appropriate way to describe this situation in the supporting letter? Clearly I do not have any bills that would have come on my name to that address. Could such situation be an issue at all?

2. Previous applications
I don't have an exact date for my very first UK visa (Tier 2) application that was made from abroad, am I ok to just include the year there? I also do not have the case number for all applications made within UK.

3. Can I travel outside the UK after I have submitted the application, but before I do biometrics? I have a few work trips scheduled, each being less than full day absence from UK.

Appreciate your advice on these!
