Hi All,

Forgive me if this question has already been asked here. I have two referees that signed their paperwork lets say today 14/10/2018, however, l want to submit my application in 6 months (14/04/2020). Will this be a problem? (e.g do l have to ask my referees to sign new for with the dates)?

Thanks,
Myky
Whilst there is no rule on this I would ask them to sign close to the date of your application.

Hi all!

I made a naturalisation application after 5 years Tier 2, and 1 year ILR in early October.
Last week, I realised that I have made two mistakes!
1- In 'Have you ever made any previous immigration applications in the UK or abroad' I answered NO, whereas in some posts I noticed people have said I should have included my Tier 2 visa and ILR applications. The question was vague, as I thought it means naturalisation application not ILR, as I had already included my ILR BRP. :?
2- In 'In addition to the names already provided, are you now or have you ever been known by another name?' I said No. however, I had not seen this question correctly and when I was double checking my application this question was not there! Once I submitted the application, I could see I have mistakenly answered NO, whereas in my ILR application I had said yes and included the family name post-fix which was removed from the whole family name when I was 2 years old.

I sent an email to furthernationalityenquires and explained these two issues with my application, and attached my ILR application and details on my Tier 2 visa applications. Do I need to take any further action? Do you think these mistakes will lead to a refusal / shall I apply again and withdraw this application? Or you think it is ok?

Cheers,
Sep
I did the same mistake and sent in emails and mails. The first 2 emails were incomplete details of my immigration history and it was the third occasion that I submitted the correct detail of my past immigration history. They did reply that they had added the information to my file, but I think that would set me back a bit of time.
Looks like many people fall into the trap of ‘ previous immigration history ‘ and get it wrong but eventually ok.
Regards
C

21 working days is about a month in real terms. Its day 14 for me now but only 10 working days. still waiting. Also worth noting that this does not always mean a decision. There is someone in this forum earlier who received a 21 working days email and the letter that came through at the end of it was of one advising they (HO) needed more time to finish processing the application. Which simply adds to the frustration. Not sure why that could not just be communicated by email. Anyways the best thing is to forget and wait..

I have already received a letter from HO which was saying they need more time to process my application and it was last week! Fingers crossed and hope we all get a positive outcome :)

I hope it is good news for you, however I got the same email from FMT last month, then another email from further enquiries saying my application is still ongoing, I got confused and checked with FMT again. There response was they were talking about the letter I got in the post about not being able to complete my application in 6 months.
Fingers crossed it will be the brown envelope for you.
Good luck.

Dear members/moderators,

I am just a bit confused now!

I received a letter from HO in 7th October sating "We aim to process all application within 6 months however in your case we need more time...." letter was dated 2nd October!

Today i sent an email to FMT ask for an update and they replied "You will be contacted by post within 21 days.."

Does this email mean the letter which i have already received in 7th October??

your help will be highly appreciated!

Do not worry brother. That’s your decision letter. A user in this forum also had a similar experience that he received a letter similar to your one and then the next day he got the 21 day email later next week he got the approval letter

Hi Omot3,

have you got a letter from HO before you get 21 days email?
Yes I did, I got a letter saying they needed more time to considered my application after 6 months and 3 days since I applied. The letter was dated 30th August, on the 20th of September I emailed FMT and furthernationality asking for an update then I got the 21 working days response from FMT. On the 1st of October I got an email from further nationality saying my application is still ongoing. I was confused so I emailed FMT again and their response was that there record shows that a letter was sent to me on the 30th August and they are still processing my application.
Having said that, please note no two cases are treated the same. Hopefully the brown envelope will come for us all soon.

Dear members
Me and my husband applied for the Nationality on end of Jan and yesterday my husband sent an email to them and we got this replay from different email:

NATIONALITY SCW HUB – MP AND COMPLAINT ENQUIRIES <NATIONALITYSCWHUB-MPANDCOMPLAINTENQUIRIES@homeoffice.gov.uk>
Good afternoon Mr xxxx
Thank you for your email regarding the progress on your application for naturalisation/registration as a British citizen.
By way of background, naturalisation/registration is not an automatic process and we have to make a number of enquiries before we can reach a decision on whether to grant citizenship.
The nature and extent of those enquiries, and the length of time taken to complete them, varies according to the particular circumstance of each application.
The progress of outstanding enquiries is regularly monitored with the agencies carrying out these enquiries on our behalf. It is only when we have the results of the enquiries that we can reach a decision on whether citizenship should be granted. We do not, ourselves, carry out these checks and we cannot, therefore, be sure how long they will take in each case.
We appreciate that UK Border Agency website gives the following information in relation to waiting times for naturalisation applications:
"All applications for citizenship are subject to enquiries to ensure that the statutory requirements have been satisfied. Because of these enquires, we anticipate that applications may take up to six months to complete. Some applications may be dealt with more quickly and some may take longer, depending on the nature of the enquiries to be carried out".
As you will note, it is also made clear on the website that, in some cases, these enquiries may take longer than average to complete.
The enquiries are still ongoing in regards to your application and we are sorry for the delay.
As soon as the enquiries outstanding on your application are completed, we will ensure that an immediate decision is taken, and that you will be notified accordingly.

My question is: is this email from the case worker or just general enquiries
Thank in advance

Date of application: 08/02/2019
Date Biometrics enrolled: 15/02/2019 UKVCAS new service appointment
Date on Approval letter: waiting

when the application was over 5 months i sent an email for an update only get the one most of us getting: (All applications are dealt with in application receipt date order. As you application was received on 8th February 19, It will take a while longer for your application to be considered. Once your application is decided, you will be contacted by your caseworker.)
and few days after got a letter explaining that the checking process is not yet completed.

now is more than 8 months and the same story the check is not yet completed.

Looks like Checks are only for the Refugees others categories are exempt from the checks. Its completely unfair others are getting with just 2 months and refugees are keep sending them mails are try to chase them but in response HO doesnt care at all.

It seems to me that Refugees Citizenship application takes longer to process. I know a few of my friends applied after refugee status and are waiting longer than others.

Is there anyone in this forum who applied for Citizenship after refugee status and got it sooner?
