There is a specific topic for ceremony issues. Posts were moved to there. Please do not post ceremony issues/questions in THIS thread.

I have noticed that a couple of members have received their decision letters through the post.

Has the HO restarted sending the letters by post?

If any has received their decisions by post, can they share their experience here please?

That's actually a very good sign. It means that they're (at least partially) back to work from the office, which might mean that they'll resume sending the citizenship certificates to the councils towards the renewal of oath ceremonies.

Hi, can somone confirm receipt of HO confirmation by post lately? I have not seen a concrete proof of that yet due some people not being specific when they post on the timeline thread. Thanks.

Hiya. I would not bother tbh but good luck to you.
I have followed up on my application status and been replied the next day on 5th May that a decision has been made on my apllication and to allow at least 28 days for the confirmation letter.
Enquired with both SMT and nationalitycasework email for the actual decision/outcome and have not heard back.
It looks like their responsiveness (or lack of) is rather random

Thank you for your reply.
I also got the same reply on the 1st of May that decision is made ans to wait for 28 days then on the 20th of may NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists replied that the application is approved but no decisions are sent yet due to covid 19 and no staff in office .but I will get an invitation to attend a ceremony as soon as situations improves

I think I will wait

Good luck

Thanks. At least you know the resolution.
I find ir really odd, some people get the decision letters by email and some are told that no letters are sent out due to covid. It makes no sense whatsoever and again makes me think of it as a random and contradictory process at HO

Yeah, I've got an email which says citizenship docs won't be dispatched due to Covid-19 but that was on 22/04. Haven't heard anything since but with ceremonies gradually resuming for those who already had their certificates pre lockdown, I was wondering if anyone has started receiving fresh ones.

Hi All,

I almost fed up on chasing my application with HO. All I'm hoping that close to 6 months timeline, they will eventually deliver the decision letter.

Applied mid January, Sent and got reply from FMT email that decision being made and should get the confirmation shortly ... Since then sent 4x emails to FMT and 2x to furthernationalityenquries and no reply relating to the decision letter.

some of you are in similar situation, so lets be hopeful that soon we get our approvals.

It might be approved and just be waiting in the queue to be sent to yourself. Have you tried to send an enquiry to the HO emails?

Congratulation to your brother. It seems like the HO are processing the applications without the biometric as demonstrated in your brother case. However, the HO will only send the decision once you submit the biometric.

Hi All,

I finally got email from Nationality Casework that my application has been successful and they will send an invitation letter once council will resume the ceremonies.

I did not get decision letter in pdf like others rather got an email saying the decision in response to many emails I sent to <furthernationalityenquiries@homeoffice.gov.uk> and <nationalitysupportteamfmt@homeoffice.gov.uk>.

I would like to thank all Group members for their effort and support throughout this time.

Good luck to everyone awaiting a decision, please stay positive.

Hi everyone, I am wondering..I have applied for naturalisation as a britis citizen. I used my permanent resident document. What would happen if it would expire before the decision? It is valid until the end of this year then it will be replaced with the eu settlement scheme.
Thx for every advice!
