I have received second email on Sunday 17th of May
Stating that my application is successful :D

I am pleased to confirm that your application for British citizenship has been successful. The next step is to attend a British citizenship ceremony.

However, due to Government advice relating to Coronavirus (COVID 19), ceremonies are not currently taking place. I am sorry for the delay this will cause to you acquiring British citizenship and ask for your patience at this time. We are keeping the situation under constant review and will provide updates on gov.uk when advice is updated: https://www.gov.uk/citizenship-ceremonies.

When citizenship ceremonies resume, we will send out your invitation and you will then be able to book a ceremony with your local authority. At your ceremony, you will be presented with your certificate of British citizenship.

When did you applied? And have you asked them for an update?
Have you received previous email communication from the HO?

I have applied on 12th February under settlement status
I did my biometric on 29th of February I have sent them four emails all together two of them was automated reply I didn’t get any updates
I‘V sent another two one was on the second of May asking them for an update I have got an answer on the fourth of May saying using this email address nationalitysupportteamfmt@homeoffice.gov.uk

Saying (( Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that a decision has now been made on your application, you should receive confirmation of this shortly, please allow at least 28 days from the date of this email.

The Home Office will endeavour to process applications and dispatch correspondence as quickly as possible, however in the current circumstances this will take longer than normal to process.

Kind regards,

UKVI))
I have sent another email on 16th of May using this email address nationalitycaseworkdecisionservice@homeoffice.gov.uk
But I got automated reply same minute
This “Nationality Casework Decision Service” mailbox does not accept incoming emails.
All emails sent to this mailbox are automatically deleted and will not be responded.
But next day I have received from them email telling me that my application is successful

Good luck to everyone 💕💕

In my opinion the most authentic email is <NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gov.uk> which delivered the application status, people quoted over many years.

There should not be any doubt over the genuinity of email having a domain <@homeoffice.gov.uk>
Why would anyone send a fake email from that email address?

Looks like some people are receiving their decision in the body of the email and some are receiving it as a pdf attachment

Today I received an answer to the question about the status of my naturalization application.
"Your application is currently awaiting allocation to a caseworker".
Does it mean that it is already checked and waiting for the assignment or does it mean that nothing has been done so far and is waiting? If nothing has begun yet, how does it relate to information from HO that they consider cases according to the date of receipt?
As it turns out I am at the end of the road. Today I received an email saying that my application has been successful. I am only awaiting the ceremony now.
I applied for citizenship on 30/12/2019, so it took me roughly 5 months. Thank you for all of your help and take care :) I'm sure I will be in touch again.

Dear Winter,
I’m glad that you finally got a correspondence from HO. Did you email them or did sent you one themselves? Also your timeline pls, when did you apply?

By the way, no email attachment can be viewed on here as far as I know. You would have to copy the text and paste it on here if you need an advice.

Hi Oria,
I sent them few emails in last couple of weeks and I got the email about redeclare today.
In the email it is mentioned that as I wasn't in the UK in the actual day in 5 years before I applied I need to redeclare my application.
They said I need to send the attached copy of my application form back to them via email then they are able to continue their consideration.
In the email it hasn't been said if I need to write and explain anything about clarification.
I'm not sure what I need to do.

You simply need to resign and redate the form as the email says and email it back. You were obviously out of the UK at the start of the qualifying period and ho is giving you an opportunity to redeclare the date rather than an outright refusal. The option to redeclare from ho is discretionary, they don't have to give you the option and could simply refuse because you don't meet the physically present at the start of the period mandatory requirement.

The form which is attached is PDF of my application and the date of application is stated in the first part of the application.
My question is if I need to just cross the date at this part and put the today date and sign this part or write an explanation at the end of the application and sign and date it.

Re: General discussion on naturalization applications

Post by AC12 » Thu May 21, 2020 6:56 am

So, based on an earlier email from the HO about the caseworker having made a decision on my application, I contacted them to check if it has actually been dispatched. I got a strange response from them talking about citizenship ceremony documents. Are they indirectly telling me that my application is approved ?
"Thank you for your e-mail, I hope you are well.

Upon investigation I can confirm that your citizenship ceremony documents have not yet been despatched to the local authority. Your citizenship paperwork will be generated in coming weeks when current restrictions due to Coronavirus are eased.

In normal circumstances customers were required to book their citizenship ceremony within three months of being sent an invitation from the Home Office. Due to the current circumstances we have extended this period to six months. We will keep this under constant review. Please be assured that no adverse decisions will be made on your application because of delays caused by Coronavirus (unless there is a material change in your circumstances, for example, you are convicted of a criminal offence).

Kind regards"

The earlier email that I had received about 4 weeks ago
"Thank you for your email.

According to our records, the caseworker has made an decision on your application on the 9 March 2020. If you not received it already, you should receive it shortly.

However, if you not received the decision letter by 9 May 2020, I would advise you to either contact the Helpdesk by phoning them on 0300 123 2253 or send an e-mail the below address with your enquiry:

Nationality_Enquiries@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

I hope this was of some assistance."
