Home Office Reference Number

Does anybody know why has Home Office change my previous reference number which was alpha numeric ie. 1 Alphabet and 7 Numbers to 4 Alphabets starting with 'NFEE', 7 numbers and ends with an alphabet 'M'?

Don’t think anyone will know why they change reference numbers. We don’t have insight into UKVI processes. Just guessing, maybe they changed systems.
