Hiya, I will be applying through West Berks as well (Newbury?).

To show lawful residence, was your passport enough?

Yes that should be enough. I had my passport, Life in the UK and my masters degree certificate. That's all.

good luck R Patel,
Cheers mate - Fingers are already crossed... I forgot to include few key points that may help others -

I had FPN (Dec 2008) - I asked NCS lasy if I needed to mention that under either Criminal Record or Further Information - I was told NO - as this is classed spent. Any confusing or in other words unnecessary information adds to the delay.

I first arrived in the UK as a student in 2003 and went back in 2007 (Nov) but after getting my HSMP approved early 2008 (application was made in Dec 07), I came back on my existing Student visa and made a in-country application for Tier 1 which was granted in Mat 2009 - I had noted down my T1 approval date as my first arrival date in the UK (as long term plan) but was told to change it to 2003 - NCS colleague struck off and wrote the date underneath (no need for counter sign etc).

Hope this helps someone.

Thanks

Hi,

I am new to this forum. I want to know your feedback regards the NCS, I am about to apply for the citizenship for my husband but not sure if to apply directly or go through NCS. Only reason why we dont want apply directly is that we dont want to handover his passport as we have holiday planned for India in August and also dont want to take the risk that it goes lost. On the other hand we heard that even if you apply via NCS HO might ask to see the passport.
Could you please let me know if this happened to you and share your experience please so that we can decide?

Many Thanks

Hi,
I sent my application by myself as I am an EU member and I have passport, Id so I could travel with any of them.
However my husband used NCS as he is from North Africa and he needs his passport as we are going on holiday in June and we did not want to risk it
The HO can ask any paper if they want to. They might ask the passport too however I have not read it anywhere in this forum this is happened at all.
good luck!

Hey - does anyone know how to track the delivery of the application (through NCS)? I have DX tracking number but shows up as invalid when I try on their website - not sure if I have the post code incorrect?

He should of been given a printed page with hand written tracking details - its 9 digit number (at least that is what happened to us yesterday).
