March 6, 2015 - Application posted by Royal Mail special delivery
March 10, 2015 - Received by UKVI
March 16, 2015 - £906 Deducted through debit account
March 21, 2015 - Received Letter of Acknowledgement by Royal Mail (Second Class)
March 15, 2015 - Date on the Letter of Acknowledgment
March 24 - Received all my original documents through registered (special delivery) mail. With a letter that says "I am pleased to say that the application has been successful and you will shortly receive a

I am over the moon as I wasn't expecting to receive the result of my application in less than 3 weeks!!!!

Hello I'm new on this lovely forum. I also applied on the 16 March, my application arrived on the 17 March. No money has been deducted as of yet. So I'm in the same boat as you. I'm from Zimbabwe and I applied by Royal Mail, via special delivery.

Same here Tulip. My application was sent on the 5th , money was taken out on the 16th , acknowledgement letter on the 21st : . So hope it will come this week

Not all as quick, guys, applied on the 3rd, fees taken on the 10th and no sign of the brown envelope... Single application and the only caviat is sp30 speeding fpn but long time ago - in May 2009... Happy for those who had it quick, best of luck for us still waiting...

Exact time line as your's - waiting as well, "only" caveat [if you could call it one] is mines a joint application lol

I understand what you mean. Whether you have anything to worry about or not..it's a daunting process.

I don't much about immigration (came here as a child) but I'm assuming you have ILR at the moment? That means you can work without British Citizenship.

Passport. As this is my new job, all dbs applications have
to be new and so my boss asked me to get citizenship
We did go through all the other channels but were not successful.

Your passport is expired, not ILR. You can simply go for a new Passport and staple that to current passport for your job search etc. while you wait for Naturalisation.

Is the expired passport your only passport? I ask this because my ILR is in my expired passport (I got ILR in 2001) but I now have another passport and I'm fine with showing the two.

I'm not sure if you need another passport for ID purposes if you have a driver's license.

Because I was on an Zimbabwean passport that has now
expired, I had to stay in Britain for the duration time stated on my application citizenship form. So no I don't have 2
Passports. Only my Zimbabwean passport.

Language criteria met (UK degree, exempt countries, PBS used documents, NARIC, or B1 test): Exempt country
Current nationality: Australian
Method of application: NCS
Council name if NCS used: Camden
Date of application: 25/03/2015
Payment method CC/DC, Personal cheque, Bankers cheque etc: Debit Card
Date of receipt by UKBA: 26/03/2015
Date of acknowledgment: TBA
Date of debit or clearance of fees: TBA
Date approval received: TBA
Date of ceremony: TBA

I just submitted this morning, on my first day of eligibility. I was quite nervous as I am submitting without my BRP card (I lost it recently) and have received mixed information about the acceptability of this. But the NCS lady said my application was straightforward and shouldn't have any issues and I'm much more relaxed this morning. I'll update you when I hear from UKVI. Hoping for a 3-week turnaround on the application. Fingers crossed.

Update: Royal Mail tracker shows delivery this morning.

My credit card balance reduced by £906 yesterday, it will show up on the statement soon. Check your "available balance" to see if it is different to your "actual balance"
