Am also waiting for a ceremony letter.

Approval was dated 19 March; so a week today.
My Council definitely sends letters out so I will just be patient and only chase after the 2 week time period is up.

Good luck

About the invitation letter from the council.

I contacted the council about what their procedure is and have just received their call back.

She confirmed it not their normal procedure to send out any letters as my Home Office letter tells me. I read her the portion of the letter that said NOT to contact my council and she asked if I was sure it really was my approval letter. I said I was definitely sure and she went and checked their paperwork and confirmed the council does indeed have my paperwork there.

The council lady is still confused about my letter and has asked me to take a picture of it and email it to her so she can read it and will get back to me.

It seems so far the approvals have only been received for those who applied in the 1st week of March.

I don't think anyone applied in the 2nd week have started getting approvals...

Don't worry Tulip, it just a matter of time. I hoping to get some news by the end of this week, since I applied on the 5th and home office took the money on the 16th, and I received my acknowledgement letter on the 21st. So I'm giving them a week to accept my application. You will be hearing soon too. Stay positive and the Easter Bunny is on her way to your house :)

Further to my previous post above...

My council lady emailed me back now and told me what I knew (this is not the invitation letter) and wished me luck receiving it soon... and not answering for me who it is that sends this invitation letter. I have ended up calling the Home Office and asking them... and they didn't actually know for sure! LOL They told me to email the address on my approval letter and ask there.

You'd think someone would have this filed in their brain as a frequently asked sort of question!

Thanks for the information, that does not fill one with confidence haha. At least we have our approval and good luck to those still waiting.

Let me know if/when you get your ceremony letter and I will do the same.

That's interesting, Suga!

Having that part of the form would have actually clarified things a lot for me!

All the information requested in the new part of the form, was in some way included in my application except for the date and location of when my finger prints were taken.

Anyway, as this form was updated today and we both submitted our applications before today, it shouldn't affect us :)
Naturalisation App: 25/3
Receipt by UKBA: 26/3
Email Ack/Fee taken: 13/4
Approval: 8/5 (Dated: 2/5)
Ceremony: 27/5

Passport App: 3/6 via PO
Receipt of App: 4/6
Interview Letter: 10/6
Return of Docs: 11/6
Interview: 15/6
Printed: 16/6
Arrived: 17/6

I applied on 16th March. I doubt this will impact our applications. In any case, my understanding is that if we've had a BRP in the past, they will just use those details. It all seems to be an exercise to make their database full proof. Any thoughts anyone?
