Dear All
I was one of you when I applied in May 2014, ( I got the British Passport in March)
I really have to fight and its a long story ( read my previous post if interested) Basically they will tell you under consideration but its all rubish , They actualy lost my documents ( for other its just in the grave Yard ) and after a long arguments and I even contacted My MP ( which did help as well but to be honest I think it was me who was pushing them .
There checks dont take more than 2 to 5 days .
After they found my Document it only took them 3 days to finish my process ( according to them when they found my document my check got expired and they have to do the checks again).
push them if you think you are clear with all the thing below.

Published guidance has now been clarified to make it clear that some cases will be subject to further scrutiny dependent on whether certain factors are found in their immigration history.

Examples of relevant factors include:

· Criminality.

· Previous refusal of asylum.

· Previous grant of a period of Leave to remain exceptionally outside the Immigration Rules.

· Periods of overstaying between previous applications.

· Evidence of illegal working or illegal entry. this include if you have work more than 20hrs on student visa

· European Nationals who do not provide evidence of Permanent Residence in UK.

· Failure to comply with immigration reporting restrictions.

· Financial irregularities.

This is of course not an exhaustive list, simply an indication of the some of the factors which would trigger a higher level of scrutiny, the relevant guidance can be found at:

Dear nationalityman,

I agree with you, you were lucky even it took you ages to get rid of that mess!
I tried MP and contacting HO but helpless..As for me, i had very bad experience with who was supposed to be my MP who refused even to discuss my matter and just asked me to leave the surgery in stupid manner which really hurt my feelings..
Myself may be like hundreds of may 2014 are victims of that carelessness and unjustified discrimination, after 11 months waiting i sometimes regret that i submitted that application, i feel that paid for stress not to naturalize although i paid the same amount of money like any applicants who got decisions in few weeks !!! I consider my application as straight forward one supported by whatever required by the HO, no criminal records, no problems whatsoever but it seems luck in processing an application is missed in my case and others!

Would you please tell: What did you mean by: financial irregularities?
Your help is greatly appreciated :)

financial irregularities - could me few things shuch as money laundry law and etc.
In that case your really need to fight , If the MP is rude try to send him an email.
Try to document every single thing as possible even the communication between you , MP and the HO then the next stage is below.
But againg get all the communication documented so that you can have a strong ground .
Call them and ask them you need to talk to the your manager , first they will say no but stick on to it then ask the manager that you need to talk to the case worker on the grounds that your doc are not lost.
I called them 17 times ( but be careful if the caseworker can take wrong decision but he need a solid ground to refuse your application )
Should you remain dissatisfied with our response, you may wish to take this matter further with the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman. You can telephone them on 0345 015 4033, or write to them at:

The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman
Millbank Tower
Millbank
London
SW1P 4QP

Their website can be found at: http://www.ombudsman.org.uk and you can email them on
Phso.enquiries@ombudsman.org.uk.
However, any approach to the Ombudsman must be made through your Westminster Member of Parliament.

Sweet thanks dear nationalityman,

As I mentioned in my previous message the MP refused to help and asked me to leave the surgery just because I told her that I am not satisfied about the delay caused by the HO in processing my application. She the (MP) was rude, I was shocked and did not expect I would get a such bad treatment by who pretends to be (MP) ! I went to seek help from a supposed to be MP, instead I found myself in front of a pure psychopath so my stress now is doubled!..
I thought a labour MP could be better than others but now I realised that nobody cares therefore I have to rely on myself to contact the HO but I would rather wait more but never get back to that stupid and dearly beloved MP. I can not report a such behaviour to the parliament because they do not deal with these disputes.
The Ombudsman as well will not help unless I am recommended by the MP herself, so it is an other disappointment.

I will contact the HO again even I know they may ignore my inquiry, I would try and see..

Thank you again and good luck to those still waiting and (suffering) like me !

Which MP is it? Voting isn't far so take it to the press and also to other parties. If I were you I wouldn't have left and instead took video of it, do it next time and I'm being serious.

Birmingham south but who cares dear.. I can't prove it, however I advised people in our constituency about it not to vote for that scam mp..anyway she is not going to win this time because she messed with many people and never kept her promises and failed to serve the community..
I did not wish to mention this problem, to not deviate from our common subject the naturalisation..however the discrimination sometimes pushes us to talk about it, unfortunately most of us can not prove it and fall victims as result , honestly I bought a secret tiny recording cam to keep records wherever i go for this purpose only.. Thanks for your advice dear siraj and wish you the best of luck :-)

You can get into trouble if you record without consent of all parties involved, especially if you plan to use that footage for anything other than personal reasons

Yes I am aware of that, it's illegal and immoral to record someone without their permission, no doubts about it!
When a consent request is granted then both parties would act properly and respectfully, but even it's refused this will give the dodgy ones who are in charge the impression that they could probably be framed so they should do their job, to behave in proper way and to treat people in the same way they wish to be treated.
I am tired of being the victim several times by ignorant idiots and let them get away with it! We all live in a country where the law is normally respected and no one needs to seek for a favour of anyone else..
Sorry dear followers if I deviated from the main topic but promise not anymore..
Thank you dear Manka10 for your advice and good luck

I called in and the Lady on the Phone talks like why did you called we already informed you in Feb (it will take another 3 to 6 months ) ?

I applied in May 2014: My question is if I called in Dec 2014 they would have said the same 3 to 6 months, then those 3 to 6 months would have finished by now. If I have not called in Feb and called in May 2015 then I would have received the same letter again 3 to 6 months, so I have to wait for more, is this the way to deal any application, I am getting frustrated.. so they are telling me that do not call until Aug 2015.

but what can we do.. just wait for a miracle to happen and not only me all pending cased will be finished soon.

How did you get through to your case worker? What did you tell him/her?

Normally the call centre stuff cannot check anything apart from application status.
