Hello,

Congratulations on receiving the approval.

Just want to check if the Approval letter is same as Naturalization certificate or do you get naturalization certificates after the approval letter??

Dear Chohan

Yes your daughter can travel to Pakistan on a Pakistani passport and once you receive the certificate you can apply and take her British passport with you but one thing you have to keep in mind, if you don't receive the certificates in time, you will not be able to bring your daughter back until her nationality certificates are sorted. I am in the a similar situation where i applied in first week of April and my kids traveled towards end of May. As of today there is no sign of certificates.

IMHO (and seniors can advice/correct)
Yes you can travel to the Pak (with Pak PP) or to Ind (with Ind PP)
Problem is coming back?
Legally person applying for British PP should be in UK at the time of application. Or you can take Registration certificate to Pak and apply for British PP from Pak and this will take long time 4-6 months.
but I know people have applied and got British PP before, with kids in Pak/Ind and then took it to respective country (its risky)
But Before all that... you/we need to get MN1 Registration certificate which they are not processing apart from one or two here and there..

Hi

SKAR is correct to apply for british passport person should be present in the country. It will be risky if you apply in her absence and then send passport back to pakistan some how. If they found out your nationslity could be cancelled. So its better you wait for certificate and then apply for urgent passport. I will not recommend travelling unless you take the certoficate with you and then apply for bb from back home.

I hope this helps.
Thx

Hi
Mr Malik told me another thing yesterday that I should write to home office that i need the certificate urgently and also contact my local MP and ask him to contact HO to get things sorted quickly. Contacting MP is really useful as I have met a MP for something else and I was given the help I needed. I was regarding one of the Govt department.

Dear chohan9211

Thanks for the info, but this is confusing.

I spoke to Her Majesty's Passport office (@ 0300 222 0000) and they have confirmed that at the time of PP application the child should be in country i.e England or you have to apply from Pak/India which ever the case is. She also said there is online PP application and processing time from outside UK is 4-6weeks but I know for sure it will take 4-6months till you get British PP.
May be any Senior members/moderators on forum can advise and clear this matter.

And yes we can request local MP's to write to HO (this might help in faster turn around)
Many thanks

Hi Chohan

You can contact your MP but I don't think that HO will consider because it's not an emergency. They only expedite on exceptional cases if there is a matter of life and death and you have to travel.

When I applied for my ILR my grand mother passed away so I contacted my MP he wrote a letter to HO first after 2 weeks they relied asking for death certificate once submitted they said we cannot expedite because they want to do some further checks.

So I don't think so that they will take this matter as emergency. But you can still try.

Good luck
