Date of receipt of acknowledgement: 18 March 2019 (received several “acknowledgement” emails: one was a generic one from UKBA addressed to no one in particular, then later that day, I received one from UKVI addressed only to my eldest daughter, acknowledging her application, although the biometric appointment request email acknowledged all three kids and indicated separate application numbers for each)

Date biometrics were submitted: Originally supposed to be April 2nd before USCIS stopped processing UK applicants temporarily. Massive delay while I was told citizenship was on a longer wait to resume than visa, ended up doing a walk-on appointment for two of the kids on 14 May, third kid was done 15 May.
More information requested: Contacted 18 June to provide additional information about my previous residency in the UK

I was granted citizenship in January 2019 under UKF, and would ordinarily have applied under Section 3(2) as I lived in the UK for a while as a child, but unfortunately didn’t realise the law had changed to allow me to register until after my children were born (youngest child was born a little under four years after the law had changed, and I had checked several months prior to her birth, just two or three months before the law actually changed). We are living in the US but planning to return to the UK next year, thus the overseas applications.

Application was much faster and easier than I thought it was going to be - due to the complicated circumstances and the overseas lodging I assumed it would take months if it was going to be accepted at all. Best of luck, all!
