Re: Naturalisation after ILR as refugee

Post by Jan07 » Fri Nov 06, 2020 12:26 pm

Hi All,

I hope you all doing well in this challenging time!

I was reading at some point it says;

A- (in your application, you can also include family members. Each person included in the application will be assessed against the statutory requirements in their own rights).

In the children section it says;

B- You must apply separately for your children.

I’m a bit confused here, which one to follow

Thanks in advance

Family members can all be in the SAME ACCOUNT but individual forms. Adult can create an account and fill his/her form. Then (Partner, Child below 18, Child above 18) can be added, they will have their own forms but in the same account.

Once you choose the option “child below 18”, it will automatically adapt to an MN1.

PS: All applications will be processed on their own merits.

Yes. Just make sure you choose the right option i.e. “child BELOW 18”

Create an account for your wife. Your wife completes her from.
The SAME account will give option to add family members. Add child as “child below 18” and then fill child’s form. It will automatically adapt to MN1.

Hiya, I started filling out the application and come across some questions, I would appreciate your advice,

1- my national passport has been expired in 2019, but when I enter the expiry date 07/04/2019 it gives me an error message asking for further date and it won’t except previous dates even if I enter 09/11/2020, so I don’t know what to do here as I can’t get to the next part.

2- Did the test assess your speaking and listening skills at a level equivalent to CEFR B1 or higher? Should I say yes as the score was AA.

And what should I say for my wife, she passed the test and the result was CC, should I also say Yes or No.

3- Parents details, what if I don’t have their exact date of birth/details?

Thanks

Choose the correct options. The form will ask if you have a valid passport. Choose no. Then do you have an expired passport. Select that option

2- Did the test assess your speaking and listening skills at a level equivalent to CEFR B1 or higher? Should I say yes as the score was AA.

And what should I say for my wife, she passed the test and the result was CC, should I also say Yes or No.

You need B1 SELT English Test. Have you both taken the B1 selt test? It is not asking the score

3- Parents details, what if I don’t have their exact date of birth/details?
Put estimates. Add a note in the cover letter. It is not important

Hello CULLINAN,

Many thanks for your reply,

1- With regards to the expired passport, I have selected No, but I don’t know why the form didn’t accept the expiry date.

2- We have done Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE) Grade 5 (CEFR Level B1.1). Is that correct?

It didn’t ask for the score, the first part of the question is ( Have you passed an approved English language test? Then the next one says (Did the test assess your speaking and listening at level equivalent to CEFR B1 or higher)

Should I say yes?

Thanks

You are doing something wrong there. You must choose the correct options. The form will ask about valid passport, then expired passport, then valid travel document, then expired travel document. Passport is your Home Country’s Passport, Travel Document is the HOTD

2- We have done Graded Examination in Spoken English (GESE) Grade 5 (CEFR Level B1.1). Is that correct?

Hello All,

I hope you all doing well!

In the last part of the application it says, do you have any other details that you would like to be considered regarding this applicant and their application,

I have no fixed penalties points but still got two parking tickets (PCN), do you think it’s worth mentioning in the above part,

As someone says there will be a 10 years ban for not declaring it, but I don’t know to what extends this is correct.

I’m a bit confused some applicants despite IDV App documents submission still booking for biometric with UKVCAS, isn’t duplicated? Any advice please.

No need to declare PCN. You must book an appointment now. IDV is the past.

Hello again,

Can working tax credit or child tax credit be used for child naturalisation application? Or does it have negative impact on the application

If you have not submitted any tax return yet, explain that in the cover letter, provide the proof that you are registered as self employed and provide your UTR number.

Hello again and thanks for the help,

Can I book a family appointment with UKVCAS? Or will be done separately for each applicant, but I’m the main applicant and add dependents to the same application for naturalisation.

All applicants in the SAME account will book appointments at the same time. The system will only allow that. The price shown will be as per total applicants.

All,

About consent for a child for naturalisation,

1- I have add them as a dependents and the application has been submitted, but I haven’t got any consent from, just write it by myself, I reckon there’s official format.

2- which date a referee should put while signing the referee from, date of application submission or the day when he’s going to sign the letter?

3- I have uploaded the documents on UKVCAS, but my appointment is end of December, is that okay, or should I submit it after uploading the referee form?

4- Do we also need passport size photos. and how many for each applicant please?

5-Do I also need to upload the application from?

6- marriage certificate uploaded into my account, does it need to be uploaded in my wife account as well?

7- in our country the government is not adding mother name on national ID, only father name which is silly, will that be a problem?

Thanks for the usual support

No format, write it yourself simple 2 lines and both parents sign

2- which date a referee should put while signing the referee from, date of application submission or the day when he’s going to sign the letter?
Does not matter. Referee should put date when he/she signs

3- I have uploaded the documents on UKVCAS, but my appointment is end of December, is that okay, or should I submit it after uploading the referee form?
Yes. You have an option to self-submit

4- Do we also need passport size photos. and how many for each applicant please?
No. Only for referee forms though

5-Do I also need to upload the application from?
No

6- marriage certificate uploaded into my account, does it need to be uploaded in my wife account as well?
Marriage certificate usually would be generated due to the child in the same account. Just upload in your wife’s section also

7- in our country the government is not adding mother name on national ID, only father name which is silly, will that be a problem?
National ID is irrelevant
