Dear members
Thank you for everyone who provided quick responses regarding my wife’s ILR application. She will be enrolling her bio metric on 18/10/2023 and hopefully will be granted ILR before end of October 2023 because I have paid for super priority service.
I am preparing for her naturalisation application so as soon as she received approval I would apply for citizenship.
I would appreciate if experienced members answer the following questions.
English Language
My wife passed B1 test more than years ago, this was assessed at the time of spouse visa extension of a British Citizen and also provided with ILR application. Can this be used again once ILR approved for citizenship/naturalisation application?
Did you meet the knowledge of English requirement as part of an ILR made on or after 28/10/2013? Should I say Yes?
Have you provided evidence of your English Language ability in a previous application? Should I say yes?
LIUK
My wife passed LIUK test Feb 2022 and reference number provided with ILR application. Can she used this again for citizenship/naturalisation?
Dependent Children
We both have 2 British born children. There is a question if have any dependent children who are not applying with you? Should I say No?
Referee
My wife initially arrived in Cardiff 27/10/2018 and then we both moved to Glasgow in June 2021.
1st referee still lived in Cardiff, can he give reference? Or does it cause doubts because we did not stayed in Cardiff for 3 years? He is professional but and settled in the UK with EU passport?
2nd Referee lived in Glasgow and British Citizen but again only known us since June 2021. She is a manager in a School. Can she provide reference?
Do we have to fill a paper referee form and get it signed and scan/upload it? Online application form ask information about referees but unsure that at the end ask us to download forms n get them signed.
Checklist Documents
There are bullet points which makes me confused?
1st one ask to provide Pakistan Passport for my wife. I will scan all pages and upload it however, 2nd bullet point is the issue.
Proof of living 3 years if applying as the spouse of BC. If we only have to provide scan copy my wife’s passport as a proof of living then why checklist is asking it twice? Please help.
Always appreciate help from the members.
Looking to hear from you.
Regards
